No, not really. Ask a real live libertarian whether they believe in minimum wages, wage and hour laws, child labor laws, safety laws, worker’s comp programs, social security, food stamps, medicare, etc. etc. and if they are honest, they say all these things are socialism.

This in spite of all history, law, the Constitution, whatever. Its all socialism.

There’s this one libertarian idiot, Murray Rothbard, of the Austrian Kindergarten of Economics, who believes property rights control abortion. You can kill your baby any time up until it is actually born. Then, you don’t even have to feed it if you don’t want because it interferes with you doing what you want with your right to pursue happiness and be free.

This is why they have to glom onto conservatives and the GOP to advance their insidious little beliefs. If they tried to run on their own, they would either be committed for 72 hour mental evaluations in our more compassionate burgs, or splattered with eggs and rotten veggies in most places.

parsy, who says delouse the GOP if you want to survive

Ok, I'm a real live libertarian here and I'd agree. Can you show me where any of these are demanded or authorized by the US Constitution? Safety laws could easily be part of Interstate Commerce for the sake of uniformity amongst the states.

The states can do pretty much what they want within the limits of their Constitutions.

Most of what you've listed was part of the New Deal and not in the federal scheme of things prior to that. Safety and Comp practices date back to Biblical times and also the Laws of Hammorubi, so they have a place in our system. Again, the states can do much more than the federal government can and I don't really care what the adjacent states do, primarily what mine and the fed does.

There's this one libertarian genius who disagrees with that libertarian idiot. So now you gonna say that all libertarians believe such and such because you found one who does? Even the GOP isn't lockstep on abortion!

Beg to differ, but the reality is that more conservatives are more libertarian than you like to think. Conservatives have a tendency to want to use the force of federal government to push their own agendas just as the Liberals do, just with different issues.

Oh well, parsy, the GOP is the only party in US history to nominate for president the guy most responsible for undermining a GOP majority in both houses while the GOP also had the White House.

So if any GOP members really had any pride they'd either purge the party of those kind of idiots or walk away themselves.

EE who is most assuredly RINO and proud of it.
