Pauls money bomb has raised over $250,000 for his U.S. Senate campaign in just two days.
Dr. Paul has made a great success of tapping into a large base of donors over the past year, and this is just another example of the campaigns fund raising proficiency and wide base of support.

Many here on FR who for some misplaced reasons do not like Ron or Rand Paul, will be singing his highest praises next spring when they see just how one vote of a real conservative plays in the US Senate.

I met, listened to, and spoke with Rand Paul at a (fairly small and closeup) Tea Party gathering in Bardstown, KY before the primary. He struck me as more conservative and less of a gadfly than his dad.
I havent got any problem voting for him. If he votes what he says, he will do fine.
Please don’t post links to Stormfront or InfoWars (and the like) even if it is germane to the conversation. I’m sure you can find a way to make your point without bringing in these extremely unacceptable sources.

Amen sister! I would take a Rand Paul or a Ron Paul — a Republican conservative with Libertarian leanings — any day over an old-guard, globalist party hack like Newt Gingrich. That goes for the RINOs, too.

Most polls have Paul up 7-9 on Conway. Paul is driving the local media in KY bonkers. They literally have a story a day about Paul, trying to smear him in some way. Last week, it was some girl he supposedly raped/drugged in college. Friday some story about some Porn producer who had donated $4k (legally) to his campaign (ooohhh). And before that, they made a big deal out of the fact, that he really didn’t graduate from Baylor. The reason? He was such a superior student, he got admitted to Duke Medical school after only 3 years at Baylor.
They are so comical trying to come up with something. Funny thing, is you don’t hear anything about Conway at all.
Paul will be a hoot in Washington next year. He will drive Obama, the libs, and the media crazy bonkers.

True Liberty is not license. Those who think as you, sir, pervert liberty, and destroy the fundamental principles that allow a culture to thrive economically. This is the error of libertarian philosophy.
What libertarianism proposes is moral relativism under the pretense of non-interference. However, in the final measure, the result is that guaranteed outcome of any morally ambiguous system, which denies human nature and the transcendent truths that govern all cause and effect relationships. In practice the imagined utopia of the libertarian is identical in its altruistic deception to that of atheistic communism; and the outcome is predictable: the destruction of the individual and the corporate body of humanity we call society.
Libertarians think they may advance the cause of social liberalism simultaneously with fiscal conservatism; but this duality of purpose is folly, and works diametrically and insidiously against itself. The social plagues induced by such novel philosophies invariably drain the public treasury, render the distinctions of absolute right and wrong to ambiguity, destroy public confidence in justice, and dissolve private wealth.
Human society does not and cannot exist in a moral vacuum. A society that having no absolute standards of conduct defers all decisions to the individual, exercising little or no restraint on behavior, abdicates the single most legitimate purpose of the state: to increase the common good and uphold the moral order. To quote Edmond Burke:
Men are qualified for civil liberty in exact proportion to their disposition to put moral chains upon their own appetites, in proportion as their love to justice is above their rapacity, in proportion as their soundness and sobriety of understanding is above their vanity and presumption, in proportion as they are more disposed to listen to the counsels of the wise and good, in preference to the flattery of knaves. A corrupt society, filled with men of licentious inclinations, cannot maintain its economic stability; or do you suppose the folly of the Roman Republic is worth revisiting in our times? Give us bread and circuses!
Economics does not transcend moral absolutes. Economics does not trump the Natural Law. History proves conclusively that no immoral or amoral culture can long prosper, nor survive its growing litany of perversions against the Natural Law; for such a corrupt body becomes its own undoing. Unfettered liberty generates unfettered vice.
Vice is not virtue; even if for a time libertarianism may advance a nations economic standing, it remains a foundation of sand because it denies the absolute transcendent truth indelibly stamped on the consciousness of every man by He who created all things. God is not mocked.
Libertarianism and libertinism have nothing in common. Under complete freedom, morality, social cooperation, and self-control reach their zenith. Tyranny never makes men good. Just the opposite. Even "small" acts of enslavement, such as criminalizing drugs, prostitution, gambling, obscenity -- not to mention divorce, homosexuality and abortion -- results in disaster for the Holy Individual and his society.
