Every officer on that video should be charged with murder and go to jail.

He won’t. Police are a protected class, just as the gestapo and SS were in Nazi Germany. It didn’t matter what they did, they were immune from prosecution.

Police are the new pit bulls: they can be your best friend but have the tools to kill you faster than you can blink. They come across as calm, but in a flash, you could be in a choke hold or completely ventilated for so much as blinking at the wrong time. This also explains their penchant for killing innocent family pets as of late: they hate competition.

Well, let’s see what Mayor Bill “Man of the People” DeBlasio does. Will he stand up to the NYPD and have his hand-picked police commissioner ask the district attorney to bring charges against every one of the cops who laid a hand on this man, or will he cave?

Bad enough that the cops choked him to death, but EMS fails to attempt any resuscitation. WTH do we pay them for?

This is exactly why the race hucksters have a ready and willing audience. Makes me sick.

"Pronounced DOA at the hospital."

I've known a few EMT's who had similar stories:

The cops don't determine whether the victim is alive. our EMT company says "nobody dies in our vehicles, so we let the hospitals pronounce them dead or DOA. It is inside their walls.

Patient could have been beyond the help of the EMTs. Not at all am I allowing for anyone's actions, or lack thereof, just offering what I heard.

1) not a choke hold
2) both the police and the EMS workers verified that the perp were breathing prior to being transported to the hospital.

Cause of death has not yet been officially determined but there have been statements that he died from a heart attack. If true, the most likely event that lead to his death would be the exertion of resisting arrest and the stress from the anger.

They found no cigarettes on his person or in his vehicle after this arrest. Apparently the arrest was based on his history rather than an actual observed activity.

NYC will have to pay to make this go away.

People are focusing on…

1. RACE
2. failure to provide aid
3. callous post-kill behavior

Fine, but if people WANT tobacco AND it is LEGAL, then WHY do folks need a **license** to sell it…? If the license had been unnecessary then the black-market job would not have existed and this never would have happened.

It’s cuz tobacco is a RAQUET. Which is cuz of blather about “safety”, which is simply an invitation for gummint to foul up the seller/buyer relationship.

Which is an invitation for fraud, tax, corruption and further growth of gummint.

Buyers have ALREADY taken the decision to harm their heath —why the need for all this other flimflam, which in this case presented in the form of a callous sidewalk execution.

Of course being dog-piled on by several grown men while telling them, repeatedly, that he couldn’t breathe had nothing to do with it, right?

Of course, being over 400 lbs and not complying with the officers directions to turn around and put his hands behind his back had nothing to do with it either.

Callous not even attempting to ascertain his health or deliver any CPR.

Not wanting to be arrested doesn’t absolve you of the responsibility for the care of your prisoner.

False strawman argument.

1) Cause of death has not been established. Other reports indicate that he suffered a coronary, which if true, was far more likely to be caused by stress and his extreme obesity.

2) Both the police and the medics verified that he was breathing after he was cuffed. Further they placed him on his side which is the preferred position for someone in respiratory distress.

3) He was placed under arrests. Had he complied instead of wanting to resist, he would likely be alive today. Instead, he refused to comply and forced the officers to subdue him.

The fault is his and so are the consequences of his choices.

“1) Cause of death has not been established. Other reports indicate that he suffered a coronary, which if true, was far more likely to be caused by stress and his extreme obesity.

The autopsy found that Garner, 43, died as a result of compression of neck, compression of chest and prone positioning during physical restraint by police.

Just as I said, he was crushed by 4 or 5 cops dog-piling on him even as he lay there telling them that he could not breath. Compression of chest. Wake up, pal.

Americans have been turned into little fiefdoms of political puppets at the behest of corrupt self serving political elites. They get bailed out and we get poorer.

The elites claim if you are on one side you’re evil, and if you’re on the other side your OK? Wrong. Americans instead need turn those that create the corruption, and that are oddly immune from prosecution, and profit from it on their greedy incompetent corrupt axx. Bring out the guillotines to create risk reward.

We need to forget the politics and sweep the corruption from our country and hold those that are corrupt accountable.

I will defer to the Coroner in this case. He has access to evidence that is not in the video.

However, the fact remains that had he simply turned around and placed his hands behind his back as he was instructed during a LEGAL arrest, this would not have happened.

“I will defer to the Coroner in this case. He has access to evidence that is not in the video.”

The video does show him being taken down with a choke hold, and then being crushed by 4 or 5 cops, which caused the chest compression and prevented him from breathing.

“However, the fact remains that had he simply turned around and placed his hands behind his back as he was instructed during a LEGAL arrest, this would not have happened.”

You’re OK with killing someone for not turning around and putting their hands behind their back. Got it.
