I'll have to have a conversation with Dad's family to see what they think of Sherman. I doubt I'll be able to take the point of view your post this morning does. Then again, being from Mississippi and Alabama, I might.

HiJinx, I'll bet your family has the same opinion of Sherman as my family. I heard about him time and time again growing up. My grandmother was not one of his fans. LOL She was born in Tennessee and picked cotton all her childhood. That might have something to do with it.
Hey...I wanted to tell you. My SIL is moving out to Phoenix. And we have a nephew in the Army, doing some helicopter pilot training out in Tucson soon. I hope this summer, we'll get out that way. We'll be looking you up.
Sounds like some "let's come up with a plausible excuse after the fact" being done by the author.
