One of these days I'll have to tell you about the time my Engineer Unit (Known as the "Not Too Swifties") took our dozers up-river into Cambodia on a secret mission. I have that April Fools Day I spent there seared into my memory forever. :-)

Do you know if the USS Hector was the same class collier as the USS Jupiter that was converted into the USS Langley?

wonder how far back the old saying "He's the salt of the earth" goes.

I don't know, but it must go way, way back. If you go back far enough, salt was used as currency, a medium of exchange.

The USS Hector (Displacement 11,230 tons) was a lot smaller than the USS Jupiter (Displacement 19,360 tons).

Got a black one to match some of my clotehs.
Rolled the sides and arched the back, it looks like a bush hat that way.
