| Our Mission: The FReeper Foxhole is dedicated to Veterans of our Nation's military forces and to others who are affected in their relationships with Veterans. In the FReeper Foxhole, Veterans or their family members should feel free to address their specific circumstances or whatever issues concern them in an atmosphere of peace, understanding, brotherhood and support. The FReeper Foxhole hopes to share with it's readers an open forum where we can learn about and discuss military history, military news and other topics of concern or interest to our readers be they Veteran's, Current Duty or anyone interested in what we have to offer. If the Foxhole makes someone appreciate, even a little, what others have sacrificed for us, then it has accomplished one of it's missions. We hope the Foxhole in some small way helps us to remember and honor those who came before us.

Leather bound door stop maker.
Gone to Crawford! Good for you. We expect a full report on this fine gentleman's book you know.

When I was in the navy I heard it was a seagull standing on a beachball waving a "Go Navy" flag.
War & Peace one of those books everybody knows about but no one has read.

Warthog in the morning. Good idea, go ugly early.
Hi miss Feather
ROFLMAO. MY Sailor wife liked that.
I remember a TV(?) movie with Dick Van Dyke. He'd gotten fed up with life and locked himself into his bedrrom until he read the entire book. I have no idea what the title of the movie was, or any other details.
Good morning, Snippy and everyone at the Freeper Foxhole.
Which guy is you?
LOL!
I heard the Marines say:
"We stole the Anchor from the Navy, the Wings from the Air Force. On the 7th Day, when God Rested, we stormed His fort, stole the globe, and have been defending it ever since."
Thanks . . . "some guy" FRmailed me all these cool Warthog links. Gotta give that bird it's due respect!
ROTFLOL. I love it. Good to see you.
Heh heh heh. I like it.
lol

I loved this quiet time and often succeeded in pushing thoughts about girls and the Detroit Tigers out of my mind. The best I could, I tried to reflect on the wonder of God and His salvation. And in the silence I often sensed His presence. Today we live in a noisy world. Many people can't even drive without music blaring from their car, or the beat of the bass vibrating their vehicle. Even many church services are marked more by noise than by quiet reflection. In ancient times the pagans cried out in a noisy frenzy to their idols (1 Kings 18:25-29). In sharp contrast, the psalmist saw the wisdom of silence, because in quiet reverence God can be heard. In the stillness of the night under a starry sky, in a hushed sanctuary, or in a quiet room at home, we can meet the living God and hear Him speak. The psalmist's words are relevant today: "Wait silently for God alone" (Psalm 62:5). Herb Vander Lugt
While I wait on Thee; Hushed my heart to listen In expectancy. Grimes To hear God's voice, turn down the world's volume.

Good morning feather.
Thanks for going and thanks for the link.
Congratulations on your two years of your poetry thread. My goodness, has it been two years already? I'm so sorry we've been so precoccupied to visit much. :-(
Thanks sweetie and Good morning.
Good morning USCBOMBGUY.
!!!!!
Bittygirl just came in waving a fresh diaper at me trying to get my attention.
Yep, she was wet and needed changing.
Thank You, snippy. I do want you and Sam to know how much I appreciate your support over these two years.
You are missed, too.
LOL!!
Did you take a picture of this BG adventure. ;)

Note that the insignia on the fatigue caps of the US Marines is the jaegerhorn of the US Infantry....not visible, though, is a silver Old English "M" on a red background to distinguish the wearer as a Marine. The emblem mentioned in the article was actually worn on the dress shako, not the fatigue cap.
(both paintings by Don Troiani)
Thanks Bombadier.
Whoa! Sorry but that does nothing for me.
LOL! I remeber that flick. I was waiting for "You mean like Marines" for the punch line. ;-)
Keep those Warthog pics coming. :-)
