Try a similar comparison in today's world....so much for 'modern' publik education.
I love the irony of the Union attempt to slight Robert E. Lee by turning his farm into a cemetery which turned into the most hallowed ground in the nation.
There were a bunch of unknowns back then. One could only imagine the heartbreak their mothers suffered.
Thinking about Shiloh,there is a place marked mass
grave about the size of a double-wide for the fallen
CSA troops
