Soldiers asked to disarm during Leon Panetta speech

I dont know about the rest of you, but being surrounded by a group of armed Marines is the safest feeling in the world.
Not if you're the enemy. (and Panetta is)
These American soldier have been putting their lives on the line for us all for a long time and along comes Panetta and company trying to cut their retirements and health care?
Yeah, it may be a good thing to take away these heros, weapons around panetta.
>> I dont know about the rest of you, but being surrounded by a group of armed Marines is the safest feeling in the world.
Sure, but you and I respect and appreciate our Marines!
Panetta is a left-wing ‘rat who in his heart *loathes* the military he oversees — and I’d bet the feeling is somewhat mutual, privately if not officially.
Ordering that they disarm before he will grace them with his presence sure won’t help either.
“I don’t know about the rest of you, but being surrounded by a group of armed Marines is the safest feeling in the world.”
Money quote of the day! I’d feel like I was among family.
But then, Panetta is a former Clintonista. And when the Sink Emperor & retinue descended amongst our troops in Bosnia back in ‘93, the assembled soldiery had their M-16s, but the bolt carrier groups had been removed, rendering the weapons useless. But it gave the appearance that Clinton was not afraid of his own soldiers.
The surrounding hills were full of hostile Serbs and Hillary herself said she was under fire when deplaning from Air Force One. Which one do you believe?
Answer: none of them. They’re all a pack of liars.
Cover the Crucifix when Obama shows up at a church. Disarm a soldier when his henchman shows up. If this isn’t a revolution, sports fans, I don’t know what is.
He’s got a nose like Bill Maher.
They both could use a nose job (flatten, reshape).
I’m not a plastic surgeon, but I’d volunteer to perform the task manually. On both of ‘em. For free. Hell, I’d pay to perform the operation. :-)
It doesn’t surprise me, the base where I worked at would send out e-mails and make public address announcements that told us to stay inside and away from the windows when AF One flew in and the President was traveling by motorcade.
It really shows how they, (Politicians), feel about us.
This mirrors why the ruling class morons hate the 2nd amendment. They fear the people they “rule”.
No Big Deal is the quote:
No Big Deal when the Secretary of Defense is so frightened of his own troops that he has them disarmed in hostile territory.
Who are they BS’ing. Damned right that is a big deal.
If he is frightened he should stay home and cower, not appear in front of “real” men.
Paranoid politicians! It’s pretty bad when they don’t trust our own troops.
When combat troops are disarmed at a forward operating base in a war zone just to be in the same area as him, he should be getting the message that our troops support The Constitution first and he and his boss are lower than dog crap.
I really wish the press would stop referring to Marines as “soldiers”. They are MARINES!
I noticed that only one person in the photo is smiling - and he’s not a soldier.
We can only hope with good cause.
