So, Samuel Brison lived to be 175?

Fix that little glitch and you have a magnificent presentation. Thanks.

Than you, Brother! I would not dream of using it without credit. You will, of course, be pinged to any thread where I post it.

Eagles Up!!!

Damn it all! I meant 1835, of course. I can't believe that glitch got through - I guess with advanced age my proofing skills have declined along with all my other faculties.

Thank you very much for the correction, FRiend!

“I am only one military nurse that gave 30 years to hold and heal our precious warriors”

Dear Mag,
Please don’t diminish your service by using the word “only”. What you’ve done is an invaluable selfless service. While it may not considered to be heroic, it is. I’m a retired SKCS and supply doesn’t seem heroic I’M proud I was able to help our warriors in any way I could!

Mag... Your service was just as important as any other MOS in all of the services. Please know that...

The comfort and care you provided was more than just medical technique and technology. It was the human element, as well, that you supplied each time you interacted with a patient that was needed for them to recover. It takes a lot to see the injured each day and to keep moving forward, to maintain peace of mind so that you can continue to serve others. Thank you for all you did.

A WONDERFUL TRIBUTE to our Armed Forces present and past!!!

On September 30th, fifty years ago I raised my right hand and “took the oath”. Though I only served four years active duty in the US Navy, I’ve discovered that there is no expiration to “The Oath”. I proudly honor “The Oath” I repeated before traveling to Boot Camp in San Diego at US Navy Recruit Training Command.

Salute to you ConorMacNessa!!!

"I, Thomas J. Mitchell, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God."

Thanks very much for the kind words, Dave, and as always, thanks very much for your service!

I took this oath November 17, 1967 at Fort Holabird, Baltimore, Maryland. The Administering Officer was my Father, Cdr. T.G. Mitchell, MSC, USN.

It bound me then, it binds me now and it will bind me unil the day I die!
