A thief apparently broke into Seattle Police Chief Gil Kerlikowske's work vehicle and stole his 9-mm Glock semiautomatic service pistol.

Pinging KidGlock!.......
Look what happened to Gil Girlyguy. He's embarrassed.....
The real tragedy here is that he was the only one allowed to have a gun.
Mmmmmmm, that's gonna leave a mark. If my Kimber or Glock isn't being worn by me, it's locked-up with the Class III tpys in my dbl Canon gunsafe.
Ssshhhhh....don't tell the city council.....
Also speaks to the security one must feel in Seattle!
Or is this just being - "PC"?
Just like ballots......locked up and "untouchable"....yeah, right!
---probably stolen by one of those ghost voters who wasn't registered but voted by provisional ballot--
Shhh...and don't tell the city attorney...
Something for the so-called "police department spokespeople" to think about: By all means, let us make sure that ONLY the cops have firearms; indeed, make a target of every cop; just swell; brilliant; positively peaceful.
They don't call it little 'frisco for nothing....
Chief Wiggum strikes again!
"Can't you people take the law into your own hands? I mean, we can't be policing the entire city!" -- Chief Wiggum
I can't believe we had to wait 14 posts before someone mentioned Chief Wiggum.
The thief got a "Chief's Special."
You would think, as a police officer (perhaps I rate the CHIEF too highly here) and a citizen he would CARRY the pistol the city issued him. And...isn't there probably some kind of storage law in the state of WA? If so, he probably VIOLATED it.
Well, they expect CCW holders to put their guns in their cars when the go into diners that serve liquor, churches, movie theaters, schools, universities, etc., etc., so cars must be considered peachy places to store guns.
Of course, that now means that valet parking attendants are fine to trust with your gun. It also implies that you have to have your car nearby every time you leave your house with your gun.
Gun grabbers are such idiots. So are some police chiefs.
Washington in the news again BUMP LOL
Even funnier, for years he's been a public front man for the radical anti-gun, commie CeaseFire organization. Now he's responsible for putting a loaded handgun onto the streets and into a criminal's hand.
Good job comrade Wiggum!
And who could forget Comrade Wiggum's buddy - professional race-baiter and fellow gun banner - James Kelly?
Remember people, gun laws only apply to those governed by communists.

GUN RIGHTS LEADERS SLAM JAMES KELLY'S PLEA AGREEMENT ON GUN CHARGE
BELLEVUE - Calling it "just another example of how liberal elitists support gun control for everyone but themselves," two of the state's leading gun rights activists today blasted a plea bargain by Seattle Urban League President James Kelly stemming from an admitted gun law violation last May 29.
Kelly agreed to a "one year continuance" on the charge of carrying a handgun onto the grounds of Rainier Beach High School in violation of the Washington State's Gun Free School Zones law, a law which Kelly supported. Under the agreement, Kelly's handgun will be locked up for one year in a safe and he can possess no weapons.
Joe Waldron, executive director of the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms (CCRKBA) - headquartered in Bellevue - called the Kelly plea agreement "an example of the double-standard afforded to anti-gunners who run afoul of gun laws they promote."
"If any average gun owner had done the same thing," Waldron stated, "the Seattle prosecutor would be throwing the book at him. But because Kelly is part of Seattle's anti-gun elitist power structure, and a leader in the minority community, he gets what amounts to a pass."
Under his plea agreement, according to the Seattle City Attorney's office, Kelly will perform 80 hours of community service with a non-profit agency of his choice. His attorney now has possession of Kelly's pistol. He was not asked to surrender his gun permit, even though that appears to be specifically required by state law.
CCRKBA Communications Director Dave Workman, author of a book on Washington State gun laws, noted, "Of all people, Kelly should have known better. I'll send him an autographed copy of my book, so he can study up on the law during the next year.
"In the meantime," Workman added, "perhaps Kelly should do his community service for the Citizens Committee or the non-profit Second Amendment Foundation in Bellevue. There, he might learn a new appreciation, and a far different perspective, about how restrictive gun laws negatively impact honest citizens."
With more than 650,000 members and supporters nationwide, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms is one of the nation's premier gun rights organizations. As a non-profit organization, the Citizens Committee is dedicated to preserving firearms freedoms through active lobbying of elected officials and facilitating grass-roots organization of gun rights activists in local communities throughout the United States.
From the State where Christine goes from "AG" Attorney General to possibly "IG" Illegitimate Governor, we have a provision in our Constitution of the State of Washington, Article 1, Section 24 which states: "The right of the individual citizen to bear arms in defense of himself, or the State shall not be impaired." If your a non-felon and sane, you must be isued a concealed weapons permit.
So noted. And, welcome to FR.
Ask and you shall recieve. Apparently some "facts" have changed since the first story, like which gun it was, etc.

It's amazing the Seattle paper is giving it this much coverage. They're probably off their game with all the election fraud stuff going on.
"Kelly agreed to a "one year continuance" on the charge of carrying a handgun onto the grounds of Rainier Beach High School"
So, the next peon who gets charged under the law can point to this as precedent.
While I am glad, indeed gratified, that the SeaTimes probed this case and finally got some truth to come out of the SPD, their coverage on this "gun incident" is likely because of their anti-gun bias. However, I am not complaining about this coverage! The Times probably thinks that police shouldn't even have guns... :-)
