So many Jews, so little time.

Surely there are millions who want total war with annihilation. Just the other people of course...

I find myself wishing for an E.T. landing, as in 'The Day the Earth Stood Still' just to see if that would phase the M.E. murder mania.

Police Combing the Area for Additional Bombs

(IsraelNationalNews.com)

As has become standard operating procedure, bomb squad technicians are combing the area of the Nahariya train station for the possibility of additional explosive devices.

Police are reporting the suicide bomber detonated the explosive device at about 10:45am in or in front of a store directly adjacent to the train station that was crowded with many commuters, especially soldiers returning home from their weekend leave.

Nahariya Hospital has confirmed receiving 31 victims of the blast with some listed in grave condition. Police are reporting three fatalities but an emergency medical service source has reported a fourth fatality.

The number of wounded is expected to climb as wounded persons continue making their way to hospital emergency rooms. When will the Western World learn a simple lesson: The Palestinians are not killing Jews because they, the Palestinians lost their lands and became refugees, but because they cannot accept Jews as equals.

For to accept Jews as equals undermines the very foundation of Islam, namely, that Mohammed was the latest and greatest of all prophets.

Muslims cannot accept as equals any infidel -- and this includes all you Christians. If the Christians are not overrun in the Lebanon, it is because the Lebanese Christians are armed to the teeth.

The Arab fight against the Jews began fifty years, yes, fifty years, before the Arabs lost any land or became refugees.

Check the above statement out.

Before the Arabs lost one clod of earth, before there was one Arab refugee, the Grand Mufti went to Hitler with a request to kill all the Jews.

Check this out.

(10:50) Suicide bombing in Nahariya train station
By The Jerusalem Post Internet Staff

Reports indicate three people were killed and dozens of Sunday morning commuters were wounded when a suicide bomber exploded in the Nahariya train station just moments ago.

The terrorist and two Israelis were killed in the attack in the northern coastal city' station, located not far from the Lebanese border. Police report 31 people wounded in the suicide bombing, according to Army Radio.

Magen David Adom emergency medical services regional operations head Doron Kutler noted there are critically wounded still on the scene whose conditions do not allow their evacuations to hospital.

Prof. Shaul Sasa, manager of the Nahariya Government Hospital, said his facility has set up an emergency hotline for those inquiring about the condition of admitted patients.

Dial 1255141 to reach the Nahariya Government Hospital. Overseas callers should dial 972 prior to the above number.

Massive security and MDA have converged on the train station, packed this early Sunday morning with soldiers and civilians travelling south to the center of the nation.

The terrorist reportedly waited in a snack bar next to the station's tracks. When a train arriving from Tel Aviv pulled into the station, the bomber detonated a powerful bomb packed with nails, screws and other types of shrapnel.

Panic followed the explosion, an eyewitness reported. Smoke filled the air and bodies were seen scattered on the ground outside the centrally-located train station.

The area has been sealed to traffic and police bomb squads are searching the area for additional explosive devices. Though the station itself was not damaged in the blast, train traffic heading south out of Nahariya has been brought to a halt.

An additional explosion was reported shortly after the initial blast.

Police are requesting people stay away from the scene of the terror attack.

There has been no claim of responsibility for this morning's terror bombing.

Israel blames Palestinian Authority for suicide bombing

JERUSALEM, Sept 9 (AFP) -

Israel blamed an "incitement campaign" by the Palestinian Authority for a suicide bombing which left five people dead and 31 wounded at a train station Sunday, a government spokesman said.

"This cowardly, terrorist act is the result of the campaign of incitement and hatred launched by the Palestinian Authority," government spokesman Avi Pazner told AFP.

"We don't know yet which terrorist group is responsible, but ideology from this group comes from the campaign of hatred by the Palestinian Authority."

The bomber blew himself up, killing himself and four others, at the station in Nahariya, in northern Israel, where soldiers commonly gather at the beginning of the week to return to their barracks.

Nahariya is near the Lebanese border, at the northern end of Israel's main coastal railway line from Tel Aviv.

Seven Dead in Frenzy of Middle East Violence

By Christine Hauser

NAHARIYA, Israel (Reuters) - A Palestinian suicide bombing, car bomb explosions at a major Israeli intersection and a West Bank shooting killed seven people Sunday in a frenzy of violence that threatened efforts to convene truce talks.

Deadly events unfolded by the hour and Israel retaliated with helicopter missile strikes in West Bank cities, hitting two empty offices of Palestinian President Yasser Arafat (news - web sites)'s Fatah (news - web sites) faction near Ramallah and a government building in Jericho.

The Palestinian Authority (news - web sites) rejected Israeli allegations that it was responsible for the violence and issued a statement condemning all attacks on civilians and the missile strikes.

The start of the Israeli work week began with a Palestinian ambush of a van ferrying teachers to a school in a Jewish settlement in the Jordan Valley in the occupied West Bank. A female teacher and the driver were killed in the shooting.

Some two hours later, a suicide bomber killed himself and three other people at a train station in the northern Israeli city of Nahariya. Some 35 people were wounded, Israeli officials said.

``He simply ran and exploded,'' Yaakov Borovsky, Israel's northern police chief told reporters, describing the seconds after a police officer challenged the bomber and asked him for identification.

The station was crowded with soldiers returning from weekend leave.

Three hours after the Nahariya blast, two car bombs exploded next to an empty Israeli bus at the busy Beit Lid junction, near the central city of Netanya. One person, who police said was apparently a bomber, was killed. The bus went up in flames.

Dozens of soldiers gather at Beit Lid on Sundays to await transportation back to their bases in the West Bank and elsewhere. In 1995, 21 people were killed at the intersection when two Palestinian suicide bombers blew themselves up.

Overnight in the Gaza Strip (news - web sites), Israeli forces killed a Palestinian guerrilla and wounded another during an attempt to slip into Israel.

SHARON SPOKESMAN ACCUSES ARAFAT

A spokesman for Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon (news - web sites) accused Yasser Arafat of instigating the attacks during preparations for talks between the Palestinian leader and Israeli Foreign Minister Shimon Peres.

``This shows that while Arafat is talking about conducting negotiations and returning to the peace process...he's providing the support and the instigation for continuous terrorist activity,'' spokesman Raanan Gissin told Reuters.

``What should they talk about? The man doesn't want to talk -- he wants to shoot,'' Gissin said of Arafat, adding that Israel would draw ``the proper conclusions.''

The Palestinian Authority said in its statement it ``rejects completely Israeli allegations that the Palestinian Authority is responsible for what happened today.''

The Palestinian leadership ``condemns all operations that target Israeli and Palestinian civilians,'' it added.

Peres said Friday he and Arafat planned to meet this week and hold two follow-up sessions to try to agree a truce in nearly a year of fighting since a Palestinian uprising erupted last September after peace talks stalled.

Arafat's adviser, Nabil Abu Rdainah, said the Palestinians would give their final response on holding talks with Peres after an Arab foreign ministers' meeting in Cairo Sunday.

Some 559 Palestinians and 163 Israelis have been killed in the bloodletting.

A decision on whether to go ahead with the Peres-Arafat meeting could be taken at a meeting later Sunday of Sharon's security cabinet.

MILITANTS CLAIM REPONSIBILITY

The Izz el-Deen al-Qassam brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic movement Hamas, claimed responsibility for the Nahariya bombing, according to al-Jazeera satellite television, which broadcasts from Qatar.

``We do not trust any negotiations. The only option for our people is resistance,'' Ismail Abu Shanab, a senior Hamas official, told al-Manar, the television station of the Hizbollah organization in Lebanon, by telephone from Gaza.

Islamic Jihad said its gunmen attacked the van in the Jordan Valley. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the Beit Lid blasts.

The Nahariya attack was the second suicide bombing against Israelis in less than a week. Tuesday, a Palestinian disguised as an Orthodox Jew blew himself up in Jerusalem, wounding 15 people.

The coastal city of Nahariya is on Israel's border with Lebanon and was a target of Hizbollah rocket attacks before Israel's military withdrawal from southern Lebanon in May 2000.

``I heard a huge boom, and as a resident of Nahariya, I can tell you that Katyushas have fallen here, but never has there been such a loud explosion,'' a witness told Israel Radio.

A body lay crumpled outside shattered shops lining the bloodstained train platform. A severed finger was blown under the tire of car on the other side of the tracks.

Police said the bomb, carried by the bomber in a rucksack, was packed with nails for more deadly effect.

``People ran in every direction, frightened and hysterial,'' a witness told Army Radio from her hospital bed.

From Ha'aretz:

11 injured in Beit Lid car-bomb

A car bomb, driven by a Palestinian, exploded just after 1 P.M. Sunday at the Beit Lid junction near Netanya. Hospitals in the area reported that 11 people had been injured, one of them moderately and the others lightly.

Israel Radio reported that security officials suspected that the bomber planned to drive his car into the coastal city of Netanya and detonate it there, but that the car blew up at the Beit Lid junction as a result of a malfunction, killing the driver.

A number of vehicles were damaged in the blast, including a bus that caught fire and burned for over two hours. Police carried out searches in the area and discovered a number of mortar shells that had failed to explode, among them phosphorous shells.

Six years ago, 22 soldiers were killed in an explosion at the Beit Lid junction.

5 Dead & Over 85 Wounded in Three Terrorist Attacks -- All Inside Green Line Israel

(IsraelNationalNews.com)

FIVE ISRAELIS WERE KILLED IN THREE SEPARATE TERRORIST ATTACKS ON SUNDAY INSIDE GREEN LINE ISRAEL, IN THE JORDAN VALLEY AND IN NAHARIYA.

On Sunday morning close to 8:00am, terrorists directed automatic gunfire at a van transporting teachers on Route 90, the Jordan Valley road, near Adam Junction. 24-year-old Sima Franco, of Beit Shean, a kindergarten teacher, was killed in the attack along with the driver of the vehicle, Yaakov (Kobi) Chatzav, a resident of Moshav Chamra. Three teachers were wounded, two in light condition that were transported to HaEmek Hospital in Afula. The third victim was flown by military helicopter to the trauma unit of Jerusalem’s Hadassah Hospital where she is being moved to a surgical recovery unit. She sustained moderate shrapnel injuries to her neck and back. The Islamic Jihad terror organization claimed responsibility for the attack.

Sima Franco will be laid to rest on Sunday evening in Beit Shean at 5:00pm. Kobi Chatzav will be laid to rest on Monday evening at 5:30pm in Kibbutz Alonim.

At about 10:45am, a suicide bomber detonated a large explosive device in proximity to the Nahariya train station killing three and wounding 71. All of the wounded, including 20 soldiers, were transported to the Nahariya Hospital where eight victims are reported in moderate condition and the remainder in light and very light condition. At least ten victims have already been discharged from the hospital. The Hamas terror organization claimed responsibility for the blast.

Early in the afternoon, a suicide terrorist bomber detonated a car bomb at Beit Lid Junction near the coastal city of Netanya. Police report it was most fortunate that a significant portion of the bomb including two mortar shells failed to detonate. Nevertheless, a bus [that did not have passengers on board] and several cars went up in flames as a result of the blast. A total of 12 persons were injured, one moderately and the remainder lightly.

The wounded were transported to Laniado Hospital in Netanya, Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba and Hillel Yafeh Hospital in Hadera. A Hizbullah TV broadcast in Lebanon reported the bomber was a Hamas terrorist form the Izzadin el-Kassim faction, a resident of southern Lebanon.

The cabinet will be convening on Sunday at which time the government ministers will be briefed on the security crisis.

Mideast: Five people killed, suicide bomber identified as Israeli Arab - Israel radio
BBC Monitoring Service - United Kingdom; Sep 9, 2001

Text of report by Israel radio on 9 September

Five people were killed and dozens were wounded, most lightly, in three terrorist attacks today. The IDF [Israel Defence Forces] responded almost automatically by bombing positions in several locations in the territories. The inner cabinet is now convened to discuss further responses and the deployment along the divide line.

The Galilee District police believe that the Nahariyya suicide bomber is an Israeli Arab from a village in the western Galilee. Our correspondent Doron Golan reports that the security forces searched for him 10 days ago following information that he is tied to a warning of a planned suicide bombing in the Galilee. The searches for him were unsuccessful, and from the findings gathered up to now at the site of the attack, it transpires that the suicide bomber is the man the police were looking for.

[Jerusalem Israel Television Channel 1 in Hebrew at 1400 gmt on 9 September identified the Nahariyya suicide bomber: "The terrorist is Muhammad Shaqr Salah Husayn Hubayshi, 55, from Abu-Sinan, in the western Galilee."]

The IDF today attacked a Palestinian police position east of Nablus with antitank missiles. There were no reports of casualties on the Palestinian side. Following the attack, exchanges of fire developed at the site. Military sources said that the attack is part of the Israeli response to today's wave of attacks.

The Palestinians fired on IDF soldiers and hurled seven fragmentation grenades on the Israeli-Egyptian border. Nobody was hurt. Our correspondent Nisim Qeynan reports that IDF soldiers returned fire at the sources of fire. The Palestinians also fired at an IDF force in the area of the settlement Gadid, but nobody was hurt there either.

(16:45) Ashrawi: Israel has no red lines
The Jerusalem Post

Israel has no red lines at all, Arab League Spokeswoman Hanan Ashrawi charged a few minutes ago in response to Israel's arrest and subsequent release of the Palestinian Authority's Jerusalem Minister Ziad Abu Zayyad.

"We have constantly warned that [Prime Minister] Ariel Sharon's plan is to conduct an aggressive campaign against Jerusalem and disconnect it from its Palestinian surrounding," said Ashrawi. "Ariel Sharon intends to carry out this aggression politically and militarily."

Abu Zayyad was arrested in east Jerusalem for illegally entering Israeli territory, the police said.

"This cowardly, terrorist act is the result of the campaign of incitement and hatred launched by the Palestinian Authority," government spokesman Avi Pazner told AFP.

I see the terrorist part, but I don't get "cowardly". The guy sacrificed his life to do this.

(18:45) US' Rumsfeld backs Israel's right to self-defense
By Melissa Radler, The Jerusalem Post

United States Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld voiced support for Israel's retaliatory attacks against Palestinians terror during an interview on Fox News Sunday.

"I think that any time people are doing suicide bombings and blowing up your people at bus stops and in restaurants, you certainly cannot sit there and tolerate that," said Rumsfeld. "You have an obligation to your people to take action to try to reduce that level of violence or to eliminate it if humanly possible."

"Muslims cannot accept as equals any infidel -- and this includes all you Christians. If the Christians are not overrun in the Lebanon, it is because the Lebanese Christians are armed to the teeth." Look at Nigeria recently.

"First Israeli Arab to become suicide bomber" carried out Nahariyya attack
BBC Monitoring Service - United Kingdom; Sep 9, 2001

Text of report by Israel radio on 9 September

The Israeli Arab suspected of carrying out the terrorist attack in Nahariyya is Muhammad Salah Hubayshi, 55, of Abu-Sinan, married to two women and the father of children. In the past, he competed for head of the local council but failed. He is the first Israeli Arab to become a suicide bomber. Hubayshi was an important activist in the Islamic Movement in the north. There were many instances of violence between him and the Druze residents of Abu-Sinan, who make up two-thirds of the village.

Our correspondent Karmela Menashe reports that a week ago, the security forces arrived at his home and tried to capture him, but Hubayshi managed to flee, and reached his operators in Jenin. The Shin Bet's [Israeli security service] information tied Hubayshi to Hamas. In the past, the security forces sent his name to the PNA [Palestinian National Authority] so that it would arrest him, but nothing was done.

President Moshe Qatzav called on Israeli Arabs to boycott the terrorists, and not to allow them sow murder in Israeli society since they are part of it. The president also voiced his certainty that Israel will know how to deal with terrorism.

Shawki Khatib, chairman of the Supreme Israeli Arab Follow-Up Committee, said that if it transpires that an Israeli Arab was responsible for the Nahariyya terrorist attack the committee denounces the action. He said this is the action of an individual, no matter how grave. However, we must remember that the Israeli establishment for years has ignored the Israeli Arabs.

Five Terrorism Victims Today

Five Israelis were murdered and dozens were wounded - ten in moderate condition - in a grave series of three terrorist attacks this morning and early afternoon. The attacks took place on the Jordan Valley highway, where a driver and his teacher-passenger were murdered; in Nahariya, where a suicide terrorist blew himself up, killing three; and at the Beit Lid Junction east of Netanya, wounding one person moderately.

The morning began with a drive-by murder in the Jordan Valley at around 8 AM. Palestinian terrorists in a car overtook a van transporting teachers from Beit She'an southwards to a regional school and opened fire with automatic weapons. One teacher - Sima Franko, 24, of Beit She'an - was killed on the spot, and the driver, Kobi Hatzav, died later of his wounds. A second teacher was moderately wounded, and two others sustained light wounds. The attack occurred about 500 meters north of the Adam Bridge Junction. Sima Franko was buried this afternoon in Beit She'an, and driver Kobi Hatzav will be laid to rest tomorrow in Kibbutz Alonim, southeast of Haifa.

Jordan Valley Regional Council head David Levy explained that the teachers' van is not bulletproof, as the IDF requires such measures only for school buses. Municipality officials added that in any event they could not afford to bulletproof all official vehicles.

At approximately 10:45 AM, a large blast shook the area near the train station in the northern coastal city of Nahariya. Three people were killed in the suicide attack, and 74 others - including 20 soldiers - were injured; eight of them are listed in moderate condition. The bomb included a large amount of nails, which in fact fulfilled the murderers' intentions of increasing the intensity of the wounds and suffering. Elro'i Abuhatzeira, a student of the nearby Yeshivat Hesder Nehardeah and an eyewitness to the attack, told Arutz-7 in a broken voice that he is "Thank G-d fine, saved by a miracle." He recounted the seconds before the blast:
"I had just walked out of the train station when I happened to see a man - short, with a beard - holding a large package. I was standing only about five meters away from him, and suddenly I heard a tremendous explosion... I looked down and saw that my hands were bleeding; someone helped me bandage them up... It was hard for me to believe when they told me that three people were killed, and yet I had been so close and nothing happened to me..."

Police are searching throughout the Galilee for suspects in the suicide attack, under the strong assumption that the suicide killer may have come from a village in the area. If these suspicions turn out to be true, this would be the first case of an Israeli-Arab suicide killer.

(19:55) Israeli family experiences suicide bombing
By Yoav Appel, The Associated Press

NAHARIYA, Israel (AP) – A suicide bombing in this northern coastal town plunged the Levy family into the middle of the crisis on several different fronts.

When Lior Levy, 33 and a volunteer policeman, heard about the bombing on the radio, he had a feeling that his brother Ronen was involved.

Ronen Levy, 38, had been on his way to army reserve duty and was walking up the stairs at the local train station when a man with a bag rushed by him. Seconds later, the man blew up the bag, killing himself and three others around him.

Ronen Levy was thrown back by the force. Shaken, but not feeling hurt at the time, he picked himself up and started treating the injured around him before his brother called. Lior said he was on his way to the scene.

Jumping on his motorcycle, Lior rushed to pick up his sister, since he knew she too would be needed. The sister, Inbal, 24, works as a guard checking bags of visitors at a local hospital where the injured were being brought.

After dropping Inbal off, Lior met Ronen at the scene and helped treat the injured. But a few minutes later, Ronen began feeling queasy. Lior took him to the hospital, where he was given a neck brace for whiplash and told to rest.

On another floor of the same hospital, the mother of the three, Hadassah Levy, was being treated for chest pains after being admitted the night before.

When they told her that Ronen had been lightly hurt, Hadassah felt weak.

"I was very afraid," Hadassah said. "We think that every attack is going to be the last one but we know that we're wrong. We're lying to ourselves."

The way to bring the terrorism home to the terrorist, is to target them IN THEIR HOMES, and not at empty offices.

(21:15) Russian Mideast envoy heads to region on Putin's orders
By The Associated Press

MOSCOW (AP) – The Russian Foreign Ministry's envoy for the Middle East traveled to the region today for talks with Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat and other top officials.

Andrei Vdovin flew to Tel Aviv on orders from Russian President Vladimir Putin, the ITAR-Tass news agency reported. Amid new waves of violence, Vdovin is to visit Israel, the Palestinian territories, Egypt, and Jordan.

Calling the situation "very difficult," Vdovin was quoted by ITAR-Tass as saying his main aim would be to try to bring both sides closer on the plan put forward by an international commission headed by former US Senator George Mitchell.

The trip comes after a week of intense talks between Russian, Israeli, and Palestinian leaders. Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and top Arafat aide Mahmoud Abbas visited Moscow last week and urged a greater Russian role in the peace process.

Abbas said Saturday that Arafat would visit Moscow before the end of the year.

Moscow has been overshadowed by the United States in the peace process, though Russia has dispatched envoys to the region and frequently received regional leaders seeking support.

(21:40) Sharon to IDF officers: Call me direct at the ranch (The Jerusalem Post)

The security cabinet today rejected an IDF recommendation to widen the buffer zone along the Green Line and declare it a closed military zone because Prime Minister Ariel Sharon backed himself into a corner with previous comments and had no other choice, a senior IDF officer told Army Radio today.

Sharon criticized senior IDF officers present at today's security cabinet meeting, saying: "You don't have to let me know what you think by means of leaks to the media, you can call me direct at the ranch."

Sharon then told them his private telephone number at his Shikmim Ranch home.
