Thanks, I've finally bookmarked that thread.

I came on-line that morning, looked over the threads and the World Trade Center title looked boring. Later, I noticed it was getting a lot of traffic and finally had the sense to look. Incredible. Both planes had already hit both towers and I ran to turn on Fox. Reports were that some 50,000 people worked in the towers and the pictures were such that, to me, it is a miracle that only 3,000+ were killed, particularly after watching the towers collapse. Don't think I'm callous, I have both the deepest sympathy for the families of the dead and the deepest rage for the perps.

A short time later there was the report of the attack on the Pentagon and reports of a 4th hijacked plane. What an unforgetable day, it changed everything. It was so good to have FR to hang together with and this was the lead thread.
