Yep, appeasement, empty threats, giving the UN authority (more appeasement). Kofi was still saying last winter (after years of Afghan. meddling) that a military solution was not the answer and we should negotiate, showing his misunderstanding of both the terrorists and historical solutions to similar problems. The UN and Clinton/Albright did so much appeasing, that shaky allies (Muslim nations with some common sense) are protesting our tough line, demanding the sweet UN step in take over the anti-terrorism network. What a mess they left for our world.
Clinton's final gift? Plus links to State Dept. Report on Terrorism 1999 (they knew, did nothing), UN and Clinton press briefings re. Osama/terrorism.
DEC.18, 2000-ELECTORAL COLLEGE elects GEORGE W. BUSH.
DEC.20, 2000-CLINTON ADMINISTRATION gives Afghanistan 30 day ULTIMATUM..until-
JAN.20, 2001...INAUGERATION DAY for PRESIDENT BUSH.

"Bin Laden is reclusive, brilliant, rich, and so fleet that he is believed to sleep in different caves and camps throughout the week in the rugged Afghan mountains to avoid attack." Bin Laden is a craven coward, like Yasser Arafat, Saddam Hussein, the Taliban "clerics", and all the other Islamic zealots that preach "intifada", "holy war" or other slogans that they are not willing to lead. If they truly believed in their preachings, these muslim "heroes" would be out front with their Ak-47 rifles, or in the cockpits of hijacked American jetliners, leading the way against the "infidels", rather than moving around constantly and hiding in caves like so many rats in the sewers. In reality, they are no different than any other despots in history - they want the material things, the power, that all dictators take. They are phonies.

What did Bush Sr. do to prevent this? Why is the fact that Reagan financed and put Bin Laden in power being ignored? Just because Clinton was a lousy Prez doesn't alter these other facts.

Lest America ever forget why The Nameless One, W(B)-97, and
all their enablers should be
hectored, hounded, and harried into silence, until

CLINTON:
"I never worked harder on anything in my whole life (bite lower lip)." In his White House, all that mattered was showing up, appointing a commission, giving a speech, increasing a budget...what was seen on TV. They never understood those things don't matter....only results matter. But the country let them get away with it for 8 years.
BUSH: He doesn't care how hard someone works or how many hours they put in....just get the job done. His MBA credentials are showing...How to get a job done: Set clear goals & define success, gather the right people to do the job, give them the requisite authority, measure results. It sounds simple, but I dare say a liberal will never understand how profound it is. Even after they saw it last night with their own eyes, they still don't recognize it.

Hopefully, last night's speech by America's President, demonstrating heartfelt empathy and sympathy, honest straight talk, and determined resolve, provides a sharp contrast between shadow and substance, acting ability and authenticity, and between true leadership and a "pretender."
The contrast is so stark that each time Bill Clinton's face appears on their TV screens, Americans are, from this point forward, going to be comparing what they saw and felt last night with their engrained memories of the face uttering "I did not . . . ," and their front-row view of its equally dishonest and evasive expressions during testimony before the Grand Jury.
By the same token, if they watched the shots of the Junior Senator from NY during last night's speech, they also may have observed a cold, hard, expressionless face in a sea of warm, saddened, but animated faces of her fellow Congressmen and Senators.
Personal character reveals itself in adversity. Honesty, fidelity, and strength are demanded for personal, as well as public, acts of courage. There is no differentiation between personal character and public actions. It was Samuel Adams who wrote that the man who betrays his country usually can be found to have first betrayed his wife and family. If only enough Americans had realized that in 1996.
Over the next days and months, perhaps the stark comparison will enable them to discount attempts to reconstruct the history of the last ten years in futile attempts to rescue a tragic legacy.

The trouble will put a crimp in bubba's oversea speaking engagements and money. I hope the USSS will not be asked to protect Slick in other countries where there might be risk (imo that would be just about all countries).

Let's not forget that Clinton spent more time fundraising than doing anything else (except maybe Monica and Co.).

''No matter how long it takes,'' he vowed, ''or where it takes us, we will pursue terrorists until the cases are solved and justice is done.'' Another lie from Bill Clinton.
The more we hear about this stain upon our Republic, the more crystal clear it becomes that he should have resigned and "moved on". He did NOTHING positive for this country. NOTHING.

Look at this picture, everyone....now think back to the President's speech last night and how she looked then. NO ONE should ever question their motives....

Pay very close attention to how it was done.
1. Congress changed the law (lobbying efforts) relieving the FAA of it's responsibility for safety.
2. Clinton issued Presidential Executive Order 12866, which essentially said, "...if it costs the airlines money, don't enforce it!"
3. Despite all the reports & pleas, nothing changed.
Thanks be to Jane Garvey, FAA administrator.
If Congress doesn't reverse that law; more of the same awaits everybody.
