Ozzy Blesses America, But Not Anti-War Protesters
Ozzy Osbourne was in New York City when the World Trade Center went down, and he saw it with his own eyes from his midtown Manhattan hotel. He told LAUNCH it was the worst thing he's ever seen, and he wants justice and retribution. He realizes that our enemies must be crushed. Ozzy has changed the name of his forthcoming tour with Rob Zombie from Black Christmas to the Merry Mayhem tour. During the trek, Ozz Bless America merchandise will be available for sale. "I love this country and I think there's always somebody saying, 'Fight democracy,'" said Osbourne.
He told LAUNCH he's disgusted with the recent anti-war protests.
"When I was watching TV the other day I saw these people, these little f--king tree people walking around and banging drums and banners saying, 'War is not the answer.' I go, 'OK, fair enough. I take your choice, but we didn't say 'Tuesday the 11th of September it'd be really nice to have two airplanes blow up the World Trade Center. That's just a really cool idea.' And if you don't think that war is the answer then you should go to the country that started war on us and walk down f--king Kabul main street and show your bones, and I guarantee you wouldn't get one f--king slogan out before you get somebody snipe at you in the back of the head, you know?"

I would pay good money to see Ozzy and Ted Nugent in concert together. They could spend half the night talking about how liberals make them want to puke and I'd think my money was well spent.
To: GraniteStateConservative
I would like to see them do a finale of smashing a guitar over a peace pansy's head.
To: GraniteStateConservative
I've paid money to see them both, though not at the same time. That would be cool.
To: GraniteStateConservative
I know a guy who has met ozzie personaly and he said that ozzie is the nicest person you would ever want to meet.He is completly different than his shows ,he says thats all it is...it's all a show he puts on
To: GraniteStateConservative
Remember how Clinton always had 'ambassadors' to everything? GWB should give Ted & Ozzy a job.

That is awesome! Tree people walking around banging drums. That is hysterical!

I once ate in a restaurant on W. 23rd Street, looked up and saw a neatly dressed Ozzie at the next table. He ordered a lobster and I told the wife: "This'll be good. He'll bite the head off it."
Instead, he consumed it with the delicacy of a charm school graduate and left the waitress a monstrous tip.
To: one_particular_harbour
He certainly hasn't lost any of his edge, has he? Tree People. LOL

The OZ MAN ROCKS!
To: GraniteStateConservative
Classic! But it's not the same without him saying this in his working class British accent.
To: GraniteStateConservative
I've always liked his music. Once he urniated on the Alamo but I think he was stoned.

I've paid money to see them both, though not at the same time. That would be cool.Same here, but Ozzie didn't show up, they had lost him in the motel so his band played without him, which after all, wasn't so bad, the group that was traveling with him was Van Halen. This was back in '78, they later found Ozzie with some whacked out broads on another floor of the motel.

Oh, goodie. Ozzy Osbourne's on my side.
Gee, now if Charlie Manson pipes up with a nice pro-American rant, my day will be complete.

From
www.ozzyhead.com Ozz Bless America! (10/1/2001)
On October 31, Ozzy Osbourne invites one and all to revel in Merry Mayhem, a holiday extravaganza -- Ozzy style!!! Rob Zombie joins Ozzy, along with Mudvayne, on the two-month tour that is sure to give the yuletide season a whole new meaning. In true Ozzy fashion, concertgoers will be titillated by the sights and sounds of Xmas as the concourse area of each venue is transformed into Santa's Grotto. Filled with Santa's elves and other wild surprises, Santa's Grotto is a holiday adventure not to be forgotten.
Originally titled the Black Christmas Tour, Ozzy Osbourne decided to change the name of the tour to Merry Mayhem following the events of Sept. 11. He feels that because so many lost loved ones, it will indeed be a dark holiday season for countless of families and he wanted to be respectful of their feelings.
Ozzy is taking special steps to give back to the families of the firefighters and police men and women who lost their lives helping others in the World Trade Center tragedy: Ozzy will donate proceeds from the sale of special "Ozz Bless America" merchandise sold at the "Ozz Bless America" booth at every show.
Both Ozzy and Rob Zombie will donate all proceeds from ticket and merchandise sales from the Meadowlands show on December 23 to the families of the firefighters and police men and women.
Merry Mayhem is Ozzy's first solo tour in seven years and is in support of his new album, Down To Earth, in stores October 16th. "Gets Me Through,'' the first single, is just one of 11 powerful tracks featured on the Tim Palmer-produced disc. Guitarist Zakk Wylde, bassist Robert Trujillo, and drummer Mike Bordin all played on the record and will join Ozzy on tour.

Sounds like Ozzy, before he "cleaned up" *wink-wink*.
I make it to Ozzfest every year, and I got to see ole Ted when he came through Omaha on the (third) Kiss Farewell tour. Good times!
To: Paul Atreides
I like what Oz had to say.
(Still can't forgive him for what he did to the Alamo)

Not only did he have plenty of drugs and alcohol in his system, but he was dressed in drag. Can you imagine the reactions of the San Antonio P.D. who came for him?
Ah, to be a rock star in the 80's...
That Ozzy, what a guy!
To: BurkeanCyclist
oh loosen up....
i like OZ. grew up listening to his music, love my country, carry a gun, vote straight repub every time....despite the the disrespect i get from the super religious in the GOP. notice i said religous as opposed to christian. there IS a difference.
anywho.........I was glad to hear OZ can see throught the tree hugger / socialist BS that has become SO pervasive in our society. i say WELCOME OZ!! id rather have more peeps like OZ here in the US than the spineless F**ks i saw protesting here in DC last weekend.
i guessing you were probably upset that alan keys had the b*lls to jump into the mosh pit at the RAGE concert. now granted they are a bunch of wacky socialists but they ROCK. and i was glad to see alan (whom i think is one our countrys finest men)actually LOOSEN up and enjoy some rocking tunes ...sometimes us conservatives are guilty of being PC too.
ok im done venting......

Acually, I know someone who worked with him for a show and he said Oz was all that. Crazy as a football bat but nice to everyone. His quote was "Everywhere he goes, Oz looks like he's scoping the place for a trashing". He stayed in the same hotel and half expected a Coke machine to flitter by the window on the way to the pool. Never did though.
To: GraniteStateConservative
One of my all time favorite thing that Ted Nugent ever said was at one of his concerts when he asked the audience if they wanted to "get mellow"? And that if they wanted to "get mellow, they could just turn around and get the fu*k out of here"!
My sentiments exactly.

Am I the only one here wondering if Osama's big ugly head could in some way fit in Ozzy's mouth.
I know, I know,
After being bit off, I am sure Osama packs a horrible after taste
but it would be quite a spectacle!

I would like to see them do a finale of smashing a guitar over a peace pansy's head. I might even pay money to see that ;)

Let the bashers do their worst, but even with enough residual chemistry in him to stock a middle school science lab, Ozzy is more astute than some of those I'm seeing shuffling around our palaces of higher education... he's as articulate, too.

To: GraniteStateConservative
OZZY!....
The album,"Blizzard of Ozz" came out in the summer after my 8th grade year and changed my outlook on rock for life...
I'm so proud of the Ozz man, making these statements and donating tour proceeds, more of a man than a whole buncha "tree people"hahaha
but i knew that as i had read the words he wrote throughout his career, mainly in his first band, the grandfather of all modern metal bands"Black Sabbath",named after a b-grade Italian horror movie from the late 60's
yessir, with Bill Ward on drums,Tony Iommi on guitar and "Geezer" Butler on bass,Sabbath were the really hard, heavy hitters of rock in the 70's and early 80's,when many young people were spasming to disco, these guys were building a following of fans that are still fans today,as well as adding more devotees from each generation that came along(like me),ask any rock band today and they should be able to tell you some of their favorite Black Sabbath songs
old Ozz has had a solo career since the early eighties, and his first two records "Blizzard of Ozz" and "Diary of a Madman" are among my fave rock albums of all time..
its great to see that hees hooking up with the Nuge(Ted Nugent)someone who I always enjoyed musically, and am darn proud of for his conservative activism...
I once saw Ozz on a late night news type talk show, maybe 5 years ago,the interviewer asked:How did you write all those great songs back in the early 70's?or something to that effect.Ozz replies that he really didnt remember since he was so stoned out and laughed--not to say thats an admiralable thing, just shows the old boys ability to hang in there all this time and maintain....anyway ...see ya
"could it be youre afraid of what your friends might say if they knew you believed in God above...
they should realize,before they criticise,
that God is the only way to love..."
"The world today is such a wicked place,
fighting going on between the human race,
people go to work just to earn their bread,
while people just across the sea are counting the dead"
