Must be one of those things "Seen AND Unseen" ... lol =)
Here comes the "but": aren't you curious as to why contraception was prohibited by all Protestant denominations until the Lambeth Conference of 1930?
Here's what the Catechism states: "So the Church, which is 'on the side of life,' teaches that 'it is necessary that each and every marriage act remain ordered per se to the procreation of human life.' 'This particular doctrine, expounded on numerous occasions by the Magisterium, is based on the inseperable connection, established by God, which man on his own initiative may not break, between the unitive significance and the procreative significance which are both inherent to the marriage act.'"
When Protestants reject the excluding of God's role in all marriage acts, a more profound understanding of God as the author of life will commence. As it stands, you actively exclude God when you choose to (as opposed to NFP which is simply calculated restraint), and you are in disobedience. But of course I realize this is based on your misunderstanding, and hence my elation at the title of the book by the author in question.
I salute everything else you say!
The nurse turned her back to us, wiped her eyes, and turned back around with her eyes still wet. I guess she doesn't hear that too often.
Among other things, the article describes the hospital atmosphere very well: complete inability to get a moment of rest and surly personnel preoccupied with legal matters.
So, how do the new bumps work? One difference is that one can't bump nonexisting persons. Is there a description somewhere? It is a bit disorienting not to see the entire list.
I will never forget standing in a pro-life rally that was protesting Geraldine Ferraro when she was running for VP. Across the road from us were abortion proponents who had their children front and center holding signs saying "Support a woman's right to choose". It was nearly enough to bring tears to my eyes.
A profound statement that is relevant to an earlier conversation we had.
I would have had no compunction at all about telling that bag of human vomit called an obstetrician in the story that she had "terminated her mother's pregnancy" by being born, and to get the h**l out of the room before I called the police.
Cordially,

It is a bit disorienting not to see the entire list.Try clicking here, and if that doesnt work (Im not sure about the new page urls) do a search for recent changes. To find John Robs thread on it. I agree that its a bit disorienting, but if it saves me having to bump 14 times, Ill take it. You might not want too, since your bumps on your threads have style. Mine are just carpet bombing, crude, but effective.

We also had the death-squad MD's (at an allegedly Catholic hospital) asking if we really wanted to continue nutrition/hydration. Were I sentient when we were asked, I might have asked the MD if HE wanted continuing nut/hyd for himself--oh, well.
We here on FR have all seen the miraculous photographs of baby Samuel, who had corrective surgery performed IN UTERO to fix his spina bifida -- presumably after his mother had undergone an Alpha Fetal Protein test and amniocentisis. It is for this reason that I'd go ahead and have the tests again, should God grant me the boon of another child -- because today, there ARE some things that can be fixed. But we have to be aware that there's something wrong before we can fix it.
Unfortunately, it seems that many parents are unwilling to deliver less-than-perfect children, and take advantage of the information they receive from these tests. I don't know how to fix that problem -- it is a problem of the soul, and it is very, very sad.
Needless to say, it wouldn't matter to me one bit what the results of an AFP or amnio were. Any baby that's growing inside me is going to be deliverd, come Hell or High Water.
Regards,
