I have an Italian-American friend who's held dual citizenship for 12 years, but still thinks Italy 24/7. Her heart's in Milano. Married a US citizen, no kids. I'm hoping she's a work in progress.

It takes an American to understand why those held in captivity in some foreign rat-infested prison, kiss the ground when they step off that plane bringing them home. (It's like owning a dachshund. Once you've had one, nothing else will do, and if you've never had one, you'll never understand.)
