Even John McCain can get it right once in a while.

Gosh it's good to see the honorable Senator from AZ is feeling his
patriotic best.
Even so...
The august Senator from Arizona can do this taxpayer a big favor by simply supporting our POTUS, & his people, as needed in the war effort; especially while our military tries ferreting-out the miserable, bearded sack of pork feces from the cave Its hiding in.
Conversely, he may, & at his convenience spare the nation any more WSJ pieces, while he's at it?
Why risk some construing his patriotism as a[nother] lame attempt to grandstand?
*Not* that the good Senator from AZ ever established a track record of hogging headlines or grandstanding, eh.

Thanks for the bump.
I agree with sabertooth above that there should be a formal declaration of war.

Good God! I couldn't believe the man I had come to regard as "The Spoiler" had written this- but he's right. Give the guy his due!

Thanks for the bump. That's twice now that McCain's been right. He's made it all the way up to stopped clock.

McCain has nothing to say that I want to hear.
Nothing.

"I sincerely hope that Bush doesn't get squishy when it comes time to do what is ugly but necessary." I think we may be close to that point now. (Maybe?)

Ha, ha, you could be right. It couldn't be that the good senator had his geography mixed up.

Thanks for the ping .... as most have said, it's a great article.
It's especially good on a day that also includes a couple of Brit papers' snide little reports that SAS is en-route to save our bacon.
I still wonder who wrote it for Senator Mc Clean, does not sound like anything I've heard from him .... ever.

I still wonder who wrote it for Senator Mc Clean, does not sound like anything I've heard from him .... ever. My thoughts exactly
He may have hit the nail right on the head here, but I still:
1) Wouldn't vote for him
2) Don't trust him
3) Think he's too mentally unstable to be holding high political office

THIS ARTICLE IS BIG NEWS. MCCAIN IS RAPPING BUSH'S PROSECUTION OF THE WAR AS TOO TIMID. Before Sep 11, there was talk McCAin would challenge Bush for prez, in '04, over issues like finance reform and health spending. Now, his issue against Bush might be foreign policy. Remember that BILL KRISTOL and his mag are McCainiacs, who've been dissing "appeasers" around Bush. If Bush goes too slow for this crowd - - or doesn't go far enough (ie, to Iraq), don't be surprised if a MCCAIN PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDACY becomes a live prospect again.!!!!
