The media are full of political bias. I absolutley hate the left in the media. FoxNews may be tilted to the right, but at least they are honest when they say that they ask a leftist on to give his opinion.

When CNN asks a "right-winger" on, it's usually a RINO. That way, they can portray the "centrist" thinking as the far-right. This makes those of us that are pro-life and pro-gun out to be extremists in the eyes of the common person. Any one that can't see what I see is lying to himself.

Staring with the Los Angeles Riots "..those gentlemen throwing rocks "(the gentlemen were throwing rocks at a man that they dragged out of his truck; their rocks hit the poor guy in the head repeatedly, you could see the blood on the ground.) "we have to understand the rage of the rioters" I could go on. They said NOTHING about Clinton, covered up for him. They're not reporters, they're not fair and balanced( with the exception of Fox News). They are nothing but useless propagandists. The scary part is that people beleive them and are heavily influenced by their B.S.

Election 2000...which they would still be covering if not for 9-11. Post 9-11 fearmongering....Because they represent our nation to the world and have no understanding of the sacrifices made for the freedoms they take for granted.

Election 2000...which they would still be covering if not for 9-11.

No. $1 million was spent on a Florida vote audit which was to be analized about a month ago by a consortium of major U.S. media organizations. You must remember that the only goal of this project was to satisfy the liberal issue that Bush is not legitamate, yet the story was canned unanimously.

So what do we get? Bush won every recount and they refuse to provide the million dollar results to this?

Any more reasons to hate the media?

Woodward and Bernstein's in depth Watergate investigation neglects to uncover what many knew ( and a Baltimore Judge concurred with last year in Ida Maxie Wells v. G Gordon Liddy) that it was all about John Dean's attempted cover-up of his then fiance Mo Biner's involvement in a DNC call-girl ring. (^:

Watching the press conference with Rumsfeld today was almost painful. Not because of anything he was saying, but rather the inane, idiotic questions asked by the press. I think some of these people don't have a gradeschool education. It's amazing. Even some of the press people were laughing at the stupidity of some of the questions.

I don't like it that one of the "Big Three", Peter Jennings, is Canadian. I have nothing against Canada or Canadians, but I'm not comfortable with the idea that a major news organization like ABC trusts a non-US citizen to report the news to Americans. Tom Brokaw is from the Mid-West, but age has not been kind to his voice. He's becomming harder and harder to listen to.

As for Dan Rather, I can't find it in me to hate a fellow Texan and Christian. In his first autobiography, The Camera Never Blinks, published in 1977, he says he's Christian (Lutheran). An article in the most recent issue of Texas Monthly describes how he turned to the Bible for comfort after returning home from reporting on the events of September 11. Those who want CBS to retire Dan Rather take note, the guy most likely to replace him is John Roberts, another Canadian.

I detest most of the news media....
I despise most of the entertainment media....

They are two sides of the same coin.

Once, most newspeople learned their trade on the street- the talked to real people, walked beats with policemen, and developed some street smarts & common sense...

Nowadays, many go from Ivy-league schools straight to work- they talk mainly among themselves, and disdain ordinary people. And their opinions.

They look down on us.

Weltanschauung?

Should I run to the dictionary or would you explain?

AH! Worldview!

You are so right. The schools the members of the press graduate from are the same schools today's Liberals come from, their worldview is skewed to hate the U.S.

Should I run to the dictionary or would you explain?

It's a twenty-five cent German philosophical term meaning "world-view."

Sure, I could have just said that... but then you wouldn't have asked! (c;

The pressures of putting the family to bed last nite forced a terse reply; now getting 'em does the same thing.... I had really thought about writing a rant of all my briefs against the media, but.....

If you really want to see what's wrong, go here:

Here are sources for Media bias:

-Media Research-free e-letter

-Reed Irvine's Accuracy in Media

-the Ben Franklin Foundation--

And inside of a week you will have more facts, stories, and evidence of bias than you'll know what to do with....

I read a Drudge story yesterday which indicated that the general public is becoming sick of reading the media's unfounded disdain for our country. If anyone else read this piece you too realize how many more people are tuning out of local media, paper sales from the largest cities drowned the first six months of this year with only the NY POST showing an appreciable gain.

Personally I am sick of listening to and/or reading these fools speculating rather than basing stories on fact. Anthrax is a non-contagious treatable disease which has killed only a handful of people over the course of some six weeks. More people died in car accidents yesterday. We are being told of everyone who tests positive to exposure yet that is no indication they will contract the disease.

The media concerns/panic involve everything but what can be done to most effectively win the war. They insist on access to more detailed military strategy information, protection from anything written/leaked under 1st Amendment rights, ending the war ASAP, providing a Cipro generic - breaking the patent as well as ignoring the medical facts concerning long term effectiveness of these drugs.
