re:
"..Were not the Japanese interned during WWII?....these things
seem terrible to us in hindsight but during the crisis it was necessary,
not only for physical security but also giving peace of mind to the
99%+ of the remaining population....."

Not only wasn't it necessary, but the black mark it cast upon
this Nation will remain forever in history.

It served absolutely no useful purpose to incarcerate the
Japanese. They had presented absolutely no danger to anyone.
There were no prior instances of any threat whatsoever, from
any person of Japanese heritage.

They were incarcerated by this Country out of unsubstantiated
fear and prejudice. It undermined every ounce of freedom
and equal rights this fine Nation was built upon.

We paid some reparations to the families of the Japanese
that were interred [with thanks to Ronald Reagan], but
most lost property and belongings that would never be
recovered. Any payment did not exceed 10 cents on the
dollar of value.

re:
"..Granted I sound like a freshmen redneck in pre-law school,
I would bet dollars to doughnuts that there is a substantial
majority of Americans who agree with my points...."

You need not be a law scholar to understand law, or our
Constitution. And your comments are always welcomed by
me, if not by all., regardless of content.

There are many Americans [as noted on this forum] that
surely would agree with your feelings. However this Nation
does not dole out freedom and legal rights based on the
"feelings" of a few, or of a majority. We dole out freedom and
rights based on our Constitution's intent.

It has historically been the democrats that usually suggest
we bend the laws to suit the needs. They would like to do
away with the 2nd amendment, or bend it to fit a need,
because they feel "guns are scary".

It surprises me to read so many posts on a so-called
conservative forum, how Amendment fourteen and five,
should be abandoned or bent to fit the need, because
"people of a certain heritage are scary".

Our Constitution and Bill of Rights were designed to protect the
freedom of all, by establishing certain procedures.

The procedure to remove an alien is fairly simple, provided
the laws and procedures are followed and that alien has given
legal reason to be removed. But we cannot and do not, simply
round up, incarcerate or deport human beings at will, without
following the procedures and law.

Thanks.

I said: Not one word has been uttered about simply removing the ILLEGAL mid-east aliens in our midst.

You said: You're wrong, they addressed this today. They are going to check all coming in, and make sure that they are doing what they came here to do, or "out" They have to have a valid reason for coming here also.

You're right, I didn't read your comment thoroughly, when you're right, you're right, and I agree.

Sorry
