[history]
Can a politically correct America win this war? The short answer to that question is "No." The nation's moral stance and resolve have been corrupted by a decade of political correctness, and we are now paying the price.
In this war, political correctness is the willingness to yield to the sensitivity of others, including the enemy. This new weakness has now caught up with us on two fronts: the war in Afghanistan and the domestic war against terrorism.

The guy is right on the money. PC war = phony war. America is one mushy nation (I am terribly sorry to acknowledge this) 6000 Americans are murdered in the most horrible way, a great landmark is destroyed, the symbol of the American military might is severly damaged and what the response is? Blabbering press-conferences... Talk, talk and more talk...
IT IS TIME TO GO NUCLEAR!!!

Martin Gross nails the problem in a good article. The self doubt caused by the constant clamor of political correctness is a greater danger than the enemy.

'PC war = phony war'
Muslims say that in this war every American taxpayer is a combatant and they will kill us all or convert us. Therefore our logical response must be to kill all of them before they kill us; this will take time, whether it is one little war in Afghan that spreads or the targeted nuclear bombing of the islamic world over the next ten years. Either way the result will be the same: superior technology and superior philosophy give victory to America. Now, considering that many technological improvements are spurred by wars, life in the West in the 22nd century may be significantly more advanced than we could have ever dreamed before...

West in the 22nd century may be significantly more advanced than we could have ever dreamed before...Amen to that. Let us nuke them all and move to other planets and stars. The root cause of all this trouble is overpopulation. In a place where you have to travel a day to meet a neighbor there is no reason to get angry at him

"The muslims are laughing at the US, and its phony PC war. They will attack America anytime they please. Bush has failed to make them suffer enough to be afraid."

Common sense. What is so lacking in our country today especially in the media and, unfortunately, in the halls of Congress and throughout our bureaucratic system.

You got that right. The entire Middle East would be a better place if it could just start again from the stone age.
And while they're at it, turning China into compost would avoid the ultimate chaos and calamity that nation is certain to cause in the not too distant future...

. Therefore our logical response must be to kill all of them before they kill us; this will take time,We don't even have to kill all of them, we just need to realize that we have a country, they have their own country, we need to start sending them all home. They can't plan the kinds of attacks they're doing if they can't be here.

The present open visa policy, with it overconcern for aliens, including enemy aliens, is ludicrous. It even stretches to the fact that now some eight weeks after Sept. 11 a terrorist is still able to take flying lessons at any of the flight schools in America. "I haven't received any directives from the government to stop training foreigners," says the operator a of a flight schools in Danbury, Conn.
If nothing else, that is the ultimate victory of political correctness over common sense, once a great American virtue.

This situation is truly amazing. As I mentioned on another thread....it has become apparent to me that large numbers of Americans would rather to continue to suffer mass casualties from more terrorist attacks than to risk appearing to be "insenstive to diversity".
Any serious country would have suspended all visas, expelled all foreigners, rounded up all illegal aliens, and stopped all immigration cold within hours of the attacks.
But, alas, America is no longer a serious nation.
To: eclectic
Not to mention the trillion dollar hit to our economy, which affects EVERY PERSON IN THE COUNTRY. We should be swift and brutal with our enemies, and let future enemies know that to attack us is to invite death and destruction to your organization and host country.
Will we do this? I doubt it. The PC left has turned us into a nation of p*ssies. (referring to our leadership)
To: Travis McGee
I am still asking the question "How many Americans must die before we take seriously the war being waged against us?"

Can anyone make a gif file like this one using the Saudi flag?
To: E.G.C.
Couldn't have said it better.
A great place to begin in abolishing P.C. is to get rid of HYPHENS from our speech. Every time I hear a news announcer or a talk-show host use the term "African-American" out of context (as in "Two suspects were apprehended at the scene: one white and one African-American") it makes my blood boil.
After 9/11, there should be no more HYPHENS. We are either AMERICANS or TERRORISTS, regardless of our racial or ethnic background. You're either with us or against us - it's that simple.
