I can't help it...he looks like a cowardly, arse-kisser to me.

Underestimating the American people is a bad bet. Overestimating the intelligence of the press is a bad bet too. Someone relayed a story about a "jounalist" that thought we should drop leaflets prior to bombing to tell civilians where we are going to bomb in order to let them stay clear. Apparently it never occured to the twit that the Taliban will get the leaflets was well.

Growlback! Thanks, Sabe. I missed the briefing, but I can hear Rummy's voice through the brilliant statement. Now, all we need to do is find some generals with his gumption!

Great - however, this will give them something to think about for 15 minutes - then what? They are in a feeding frenzy - begging for some incident - positive or not positive so that they have something to write.
They have found it is easier to question than it is to report and support. More time and more space can be filled with spreading doubts and possible malfeasance by the government.
The press is so enamored of their own words that they do not have the slightest feel for what people in this country are feeling. This same attitude was ongoing with the Condit situation - constant feeding frenzy without regard for what their words convey.

Thank God there's still one unwussyfied man left in America in 2001. God bless Don Rumsfeld.
But will we sacrifice an American city before we nuke Usama?
To: Don Joe
We did not use nukes at the start of WWII for one reason: we did not have them. If we did, there would have been countless fewer American lives lost, and the war would have ended a lot sooner. What part of "weapon of LAST RESORT" do you not understand? We used nukes on Japan because we didn't want to lose a huge compliment of our soldiers. It's also important to note that we had been in WWII several years by the time we did use those nukes. We had also already won the war in the European theater.
I hardly think we will use nukes just so that the armchair generals and wusses in the media and in Congress will stop whining, and thank God for that!

Incredible. That man is too good for words. Manny, thanks for posting the Q&A with the idiots in the media.
