There are many stories coming out these days about teachers who are not those things. Sad, but true... but keep in mind that there are about 2 million teachers out there, and the 25 stories you'll read this year will ALL be negative. The media has no time or interest in reporting decency, patriotism, self-reliance, or positive educational results.
1,999,975 of us aren't those monsters that are caught taking advantage of kids. 1,000,000 (I hope) of us aren't dolts like those in this case.

Initiating a game of strip-volleyball goes far beyond the pale of acceptable mistakes. Whose name for that was it? Did any instructions include removing actual clothing (beyond socks while having shoes put back on)? Does YOUR having a foot-fetish make ME a pervert for not realizing it?

"1,999,975 of us aren't those monsters that are caught taking advantage of kids. "
These coaches might be, however. Is it a common thing to want girls to disrobe during a vollyball game in schools these days?
To: Teacher317
These covert lesbo coaches did not just "accidentally" come up with the "innocent" game of taking off socks and hairbands. They aimed naive 13 year old girls toward a cliff, blindfolded, and said "walk forward". If that can be proven, I'll gladly withdraw my attempts at supporting the coaches in question
You are going to give them the "benefit of the doubt" when the coaches started a STRIPPING GAME and it "somehow" led to shirts coming off?
"Who could have known", right? PUH-LEASE!!!
To: Don Myers
Obvious conclusion is wrong. But, I would not expect you to read the entire thread to figure that one out, would I? It involves use of more than a handful of cells.

If you were hoping to see pictures of the pervs that originated the idea of the "strip" volleyball game, I apologize. Other guys on here sure didn't seem to be doing that. Indeed, that was very lost. But not because of my ignorance. You completely left it out, and what is a person supposed to think in this context? I posted my #47 probably just after you posted your correction. It wasn't there when I responded.
You immediately came back saying *I* was the rude one. I'm not sure how I was supposed to think you weren't being defensive?
To: Sabertooth
I see your point (and thanks for reading the links... good FReeper! Here's a gold star for today!)... but I would still rather give them the benefit of the doubt, and reiterate that they specified the appropriate items to be removed. The girls took it too far. However, if that was their intent, as another suggested, then please, hold the door as I kick their tails on through.

""Who could have known", right? PUH-LEASE!!!"
The question is, Who were the adults there? It was the adults who got the whole thing started.
To: Cyber Liberty
har har. I'm not.

"It involves use of more than a handful of cells."
It wasn't I who made the statement. It takes a few handful of cells to make yourself understood.
To: Fintan
Probably a bunch of dykes that coach this team. Look where political correctness has gotten us. Sad. If this happened when I was in High School (66-69), these clowns would be doing jail time.

Is it a common thing to want girls to disrobe during a vollyball game in schools these days? Please read what is said in the article. Where does it say that the teachers asked the children to disrobe?

Neither am I, but I figured what the heck...I'll lie if it pleases your highness.
To: ex-Texan
Have you seen 8th grade girls today? Some look twelve and others look twenty, just like always.

"I'm not sure how I was supposed to think you weren't being defensive?"
He is the one who is being defensive. He made a stupid comment. At least, I hope it was just a stupid comment.
To: Don Myers
"It takes a few handful of cells to make yourself understood." You're presupposing you're worth such an expenditure. From what I've seen here today, you're not. At least as far as this thread is concerned.
To: ag2000jon
I hate to say it, but that doesn't surprise me, at all!
To: Terriergal
"I'm not sure how I was supposed to think you weren't being defensive?" I just saw this...
If you'd seen what kind of crap I got for that, you'd be "defensive" too.
To: Teacher317
I work at a home for troubled youth between the ages of 14 to 18. I am well aware that youngsters can get carried away and do stupid things. It is up to the adults to supervise them, not the other way around. If coaches do not understand this, they need another job. If they do understand and yet do things like this, you have to wonder about their motives. And there are many lesbians and child molesters around the youngsters, and you have to watch out for them.
To: Don Myers
"At least, I hope it was just a stupid comment." It was. It was also removed at my request.
But, the holier-than-though folks around here have chosen to run with it. Pile on if you so choose.
