I previously posted a prayer request for my mother who was suffering from cancer. The last two days were very difficult. She told my father and I, "I'll miss you guys, but I need to go home now." Last evening, returning from their home, I fervently prayed that God would take her on to his side and he honored that prayer. She died in the wee hours of this morning.
My family is celebrating the life of a dear, wonderful, joyful lady. She often said that how she wanted to be remembered was for people to tell stories of the funny things she said and did, so I will honor that by sharing something she said a couple of weeks ago. She had been unable to eat anything other than a few spoonsful of Jello. She told a friend that as soon as she arrived in heaven, they were going to have a chili cookoff.
Mom and the angels are having a good bowl of chili tonight and I just know the angels are laughing a little louder than they were 24 hours ago.
My condolences and at the same time my congratulations on your Mom's going toa higher plane to be with her Maker.

Heavenly Father, please fill falfa's family with Your peace and the complete assurance that they will all be together again very soon. Thank You that they had time together before You called her home, and that they were able to exchange loving words which will sustain them through the days, weeks, and months ahead. Please provide for every continuing need within this family, Father. In Jesus' name...Amen!
I Corinthians
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
May God bless you and keep you both
In Jesus name bless this Freeper and annoint Your joy with abundance. We know this mother is knowing the joy of the Lord due to Your Precious gift toward us. Thank You for Your Word, in Jesus name,
Amen and Amen
Hold on to the wonderful memories you have of your time with her.
God Bless!
Safely Home
I am home in Heaven, dear ones;
Oh so happy and so bright!
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.
All the pain and grief is over,
Every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in Heaven at last.
Did you wonder I so calmly
Trod the valley of the shade?
Oh! but Jesus' love illumined
Every dark and fearful glade.
And He came Himself to meet me
In that way so hard to tread;
And with Jesus' arm to lean on
Could I have one doubt or dread?
Then you must not grieve so sorely
For I love you dearly still:
Try to look beyond earth's shadows,
Pray to trust our Father's Will.
There is work still waiting for you,
So you must not idly stand;
Do it now, while life remaineth---
You shall rest in Jesus' land.
When that work is all completed,
He will gently call you Home;
Oh, the rapture of that meeting,
Oh, the joy to see you come!
