Tighter borders may hit schools
Posted on 11/19/01 2:50 PM Pacific by sarcasm
Monday, November 19, 2001 - Tightened border controls could mean that Latin American children in U.S. schools who go south for a traditional Christmas break can't come back. ......
"Crossing back into Mexico is no big thing" and usually getting back into the States isn't either, she said. But it could be this year, as border agents toughen up following the Sept. 11 attacks.
"Everybody that is in the United States illegally should be concerned,"
Another thread. Unbelievable! The schools could lose $$$!!!!!

Lopez-Flores, who originally was deported in 1993 after a criminal conviction, acknowledged that he had helped at least 20 people obtain false Virginia IDs since last May. So how did he get back in....looks like he won't be crossing any more borders any time soon. 35 years in prison sounds like a good start in solving this particular problem. And if he has any assets, make sure they get to the victims of 9/11.

They're just committing the crimes that Americans won't commit. Our government can't even begin to be serious about the "war on terrorism" until they close our borders. That should have been the first order of business, the closing of our borders. The big show in Afghanistan won't mean much as long as we allow anyone and everyone to enter this country as they please.

Maybe they should hire him as a border guard. If you believe 60 Minutes, some Border Patrol have serious criminal records and are as crooked as the scumbags they're supposedly trying to catch. Mighty discouragin'.

Unbelievable. Un-freaking-believable.It would be unbelievable if we had a government that had as it's number one priority the safety and security of this country. Considering where the priorities of our government are it is totally believable.

Our safety and security shouldn't even be a priority issue. We are guaranteed that under the Constitution. We should take that for granted. We still have a Constitution don't we?

Washington fails to deliver customs agents By Douglas Turner
Buffalo News, November 18, 2001
http://www.buffalonews.com/editorial/20011118/1041908.asp
WASHINGTON -- Congress and President Bush have failed to back with hard cash the new anti-terrorism law, which calls for tripling the number of federal agents guarding the country's border with Canada.
Instead of adding 4,600 agents, as required in the Patriot Law passed after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, Congress last week appropriated money for only a few hundred more to patrol what critics warn is a 4,000-mile-long pathway for terrorists.

It won't be 35 yrs. That's max, and since when did our criminal justice system insist on max for anyone. And, oh boy! we get to feed and house this nogood for x number of years in our jails, where he will probably live better than he did in El S--shelter,food,medical, etc.

And if he has any assets, make sure they get to the victims of 9/11. In many cases, this person could possibly be charged with murder, if his actions contributed to the deaths of others, as in New York and Washington. I wonder why he is not charged as an accessory to murder? It sounds like his actions contributed to the terrorist attacks.

I distinctly remember George W. Bush saying that anybody who even helped the terrorists in any way was as guilty as they were. Shouldn't that earn this guy the death penalty? 35 years is a slap on the wrist.

Good point. If not an accessory, maybe aiding and abetting. Also, sometimes they add more charges after the arrest and further investigation. If they can make the case, I bet they will go for it after 9/11.

El Salvador? But I thought all of the people coming in from our southern border were really hard workers just looking for a better life. I got mugged a few years back by a guy from Honduras in this same city where this guy is going to be sentenced for helping the terrorist. He worked down the street in resturant and stole my purse outside of a 7Eleven. This city is overrun with illegal alien criminals.

There will always be a criminal element in society but there is no need for us to import criminals. Securing our borders and screening those who apply for entry would go a long way in stopping crimes by aliens. Both legal and illegal.

An illegal alien from El Salvador pleaded guilty Monday to helping one of the Sept. 11 hijackers fraudulently obtain a Virginia identification card. This is insanity. Our so called leaders have allowed millions upon millions of criminal illegal aliens to INVADE our nation. How many hundreds or thousands are here with agendas of death?
Our borders have become a national disgrace and now a complete national security nightmare.
END THE IMMIGRATION "FREE FOR ALL".
