Gary Condit's campaign has collected an estimated 4,800 signatures over several weeks.

Rep. Gary Condit moved closer to seeking re-election Monday when his campaign turned in thousands of signatures to place his name on the March ballot.

Chad Condit, the congressman's son, said the campaign had collected an estimated 4,800 signatures over several weeks -- significantly more than the 3,000 valid signatures he needs to avoid a $1,451 candidate filing fee.

The beautiful and brainy Ann Coulter said it first on Hannity and Colmes on 9/12/2001: "Gary Condit must be dancing a jig right now." (re: the WTC/Pentagon mass murder)

My hope is that there's enough Californians with integrity to stand up and shout this vile maggot down the way the firemen booed Hildebeaste off the stage.

The man has no shame. If he thinks the war will keep him
off the radar screen, he's in for a big surprise. If he does run,
all of last summer's scandals will be swirling around him yet again.

I take it Condit complained with the grand jury's subpoena. I wonder when the grand jury will act, like indict.

It really makes me sad and angry that we don't have Barbara Olson to add her thoughts about the scumbag to the fray anymore.

Condit's re-election phrase -

Re-elect Gary Condit
He can make our COUNTRIES problems disappear too.

Sheesh, Ever notice that once a politician is elected to the "elite class" they almost never want to give up the PERKS, PERCEIVED FAME, special privledges, etc.

It's time for voters to tell these people enough is enough....but can it happen.

Especially when we learned Barbara Olson was beginning to work on the Condit mess prior to 9/11.

I think Don Vance had around 5000 plus signatures.

In a weird way, I am glad Condit is running. It will be good for him to stay in the headlines as much as possible. Think the DC police will do anything if he slinks into retirement in Ceres?

The story has died for now, but this war in Afghanistan will in a few months not be the only thing that is being reported on the news.

I like the saying that one should keep your friends close, and your enemies even closer. Condit running for re-election has to campaign, meet crowds, in other words, he can be freeped.

He will probably wait until say February to start actively campaigning, thinking everybody will have forgotten, but we have not forgotten. I am sure there will be active heckling, questioning going on everywhere he campaigns. If he doesn't run for re-election, he will just play the clock out and hide from the people, the media, until Jan 2003.
