California governor to visit Mexico Dec. 2-4

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Reuters) - California Gov. Gray Davis will visit Mexico Dec. 2-4 for talks with Mexican President Vicente Fox on tourism and other economic issues, underscoring the increasingly close relationship between the most populous U.S. state and its southern neighbor.

Davis' trip is intended ``to reinforce his commitment to the common destiny Mexico and California share,'' his office said in a news release Tuesday.

Davis has sought to improve relations with Mexico, which were strained under his Republican predecessor Gov. Pete Wilson, primarily over the issue of immigration. California has the largest population of Mexican immigrants of any U.S. state.

Davis and Fox agreed last year to meet every six months to discuss issues of common concern, and Fox headed for California on his first official trip to the United States after taking office last December.

Presidente Fox - We are sending our representative, Gov. Grey Davis, to warn you that if you allow anymore of your citizens to cross your border into the United States without following proper procedures, we will scream, cry and boohoo in our king-sized beds tonight.

The security of our southern border is a joke. The whole Al Queda army could cross the Mexico/US border on any given afternoon and their would be remote sensor detection, but no credible deterrent by US authorities.

for talks with Mexican President Vicente Fox on tourism

TOURISM, is that what they are trying to euphemistically call illegal immigration now?

Gray Davis is a kommie, but what's he's doing that Bush hasn't done vis-a-vis Mexico?

Well, I understand Fox likes a good spit-shine on his cowboy boots, and nobody can deliver one like Davis.

True, Davis looks so pathetic and spineless. Has anyone ever spotted him at Halloween parade in San Francisco?

I just want to know why every picture I've ever seen of Davis looks like a bad cut-n-paste job. His head doesn't match his body. Very weird.

That idiot Davis is too stupid to realize when the Mexicans overpower the American voters in California and take control, he'll end up in vat of tamale soup. Stupid politicians.

(Hi CCC!) And "Gay" Davis is taking 70 people with him. How much is THIS going to cost? Here we are in the midst of a budget crisis (not to mention terrorist threats) in California, and "Gay" plans a junket. It would be different if he were going to discuss shutting off the border to illegals. Go figure. For victory & freedom!!!

Why does this idiot think he has to "visit" Mexico when Mexico has visited California to the tune of millions of senors y senoras? If he wants to visit Mexico, all he has to do is look out the statehouse window.

Glad to see that Californians are finally facing up to the fact that they live in part of Mexico, now.

¡Hola, Señora Hawkins! ¿Como estás?

Mucho dinero para Gris Davis. ¡Ay Caramba!

Apologies if my Spanish is rusty. I need to practice when Gray concedes our land over to Mexico.

Davis knows if he loses the next election, it means the end of his political career, so I am confident he just going south to drum up more votes from potential future voters.
