Not only that but US & British planes have used Turkey as a base for bombing Iraq's northern no-fly zone for the last three years.
How many years? Try since the end of the Gulf war.

The whole Turkey - Al Quaeda link you are trying to construct is built on fiction.

What's with this "Osama bin Laden's organization can operate in Turkey and Northern Cyprus because of the drug trade"?

I gives a damn about your conjecture when we're able to establish facts - and the facts shown thus far do not support your version of events.

How's about showing some integrity and addressing the proven factual errors in your arguments before embarking on any further flights of fancy? I mean, what's the point in discussing anything with someone who won't recant lies? GIGO.

You mean this is not good enough?

Newspaper links Al Qaeda to occupied territory in Cyprus "The kingdom of 'Al Qaeda' is in Cyprus"

So al-Qaeda has no links to Turkish banks? Then why do they no cooperate in opening up some of those bank accounts?

Turkey: No OBL Bank Accounts (Turks reluctant to cooperate with US in investigating OBL accounts)

The only GIGO is on your end.

Why don't you toddle off and find the original Repubblica article so we can look at it first hand, then?

I, for one, don't feel comfortable with your second hand articles - they've been shown to have been incorrect in the past.

And throwing more mud on the wall when we're trying to get through the first coat you've smeared isn't good form, Pericles.

POST #143 is a Turkish source. Why won't the Turks allow Washington to investigate those Turkish bank accounts? I stand by the Republicca story. It speaks volumes that you can not hope to address, which causes you undue distress I'm sure.

So what if it's a Turkish source?

The whole Hilat Koko fiasco started with the Boston Globe and Wall Street Journal - are you still standing by their 'Cyprus' version of events as well?

Get off your duff and do some research - referencing a second hand article is a no-starter.

Until I see a retraction from the Wall Street Journal (a pro-Turkish paper) and the Boston Globe, I stand by those stories as well.

So you're sticking with Hilat Koko as being in Cyprus?

Are you also staying with Al Quaeda testing a dirty bomb there?

The link is found in #131 and an associate later told him the uranium would be tested in Cyprus.

That base in Turkey (Incirlik) has been used to enforce the northern no fly zone since the end of the Gulf war.
