Here is a
NEW press release (11/30/01), from the town's website,
www.tok.org:
PRESS RELEASE
IMMEDIATE RELEASE
November 30, 2001
Kensington, MD is stocking up on more cookies and milk.
In anticipation of probably breaking the record for the most number of Santas at a tree lighting ceremony, the Town is stocking up on more of the traditional treats - cookies and milk. It is expected there will be many Santas as the community lights the tree and salutes our first responders and those who help guard this nation's freedoms.
However many Santas choose to join us on Sunday, the event planners are hoping that they will all join Town citizens in bringing a special gift for the kids who live at Crossway Community, a local Kensington family shelter.

I'm green (and red) with envy. This sounds like a fun protest.
To: RonDog
They are definately spinning their mistake to make them *appear* like good citizens. I wonder if the 2 families will be there. It would be fun to take a bunch of Santas caroling........ to specific homes.........

"as the community lights the tree"
-------^NOT Santa^---------------
Also, their attempts in yesterday's release to hide behind a facade of false patriotism also sickens those of us who live around here. We know how anti-Christian those Town Council idiots really are.
To: RonDog
Once again, those schmucks didn't even sign their own press release. The Kensington Town Council members are moral cowards hiding behind a facade of fundraising for their liberal causes.
To: Hail Caesar
I hope every resident of this God forsaken town shows up dressed as Santa, young and old alike.
The more these idiots open their mouths the more they expose themselves for the fools they are.
Wish I could be there as Mrs. Claus but it's a bit too far for me, have fun FReepers.

"I wonder if King County and Montgomery County are "Sister" counties in some leftist exchange program..."
No wonder your county has such a high percentage of unsolved murders like we do in this area, too. We have suffered under liberal tyrants for so long that our people are finally starting to revolt against their nonsense.

Well, it's not my county (Thank the Lord)... I am north of King County... my county is better, but not by much... ;0)
