Yup, we know that most of the local police and firefighters are with us on this one. I think the Kensington VFD is going to need more trucks to accomodate all the Santas that will converge on the town this Sunday.

That, and the city better stock up on pooper-scoopers, too... all those reindeer, well, let's just say the work will soon pile up...

The fact that everyone says have a "Happy Holiday" instead of "Merry Christmas" shows that they are brain washed and indoctrinated by the P.C. police. 94% of Americans celebrate CHRISTMAS--so why can't the other 6.% who don't show some tolerance to the other 94%?? This 6% should say Merry Chrismas and show some respect and tolerance to the other 94%..Why can't these 2 families who are so offended by Santa show some tolerance to the children and families of this town. Why do people keep rolling over for these intolerant fanatics who want to ruin it for everyone else. I say Merry Christmas and bring on the Kensington Santa. Hey, and if anyone is offended--get over it.

You're quite right. However, this time WE are going to march through the Town of Kensington as Civil War General Sherman did through Atlanta. ;-)

P.S. with all due respect and apologies to our Southern Patriots here.

Yes, the Kensington Fire Department is the good guys of Kensington, I have been business owner in Kensington for the past 14 years, and worked in Kensington for a total of 21 years and the present Mayor is an idiot and the Fire Department is the best thing in the town, they organize all kinds of really nice events for kids and they are very patriotic. It's too bad the town leaders are such morons

We will be shouting "Merry Christmas", "Happy Chanukah", even "Ramadan Mubarak" - if we see any Muslims. ;-)

You will not hear any secular "politically correct" b.s. from our front-line FReepers this Sunday!

Most FReepers are very patriotic, too, and strongly support our local Fire Departments. However, we should be on the lookout for professional provocateurs who may show up this Sunday in order to start trouble with our protestors and attempt make us all "look bad."

Which Santa will leave a dump truck load of coal on the town hall steps?

I can see the scene now...

Town Leader 1: "Oh, look! Santa left us a lump of coal on the town hall steps."

Town Leader 2: "Well, don't just stand there. Pick it up. We can use it heat our office."

Town Leader 1 picks it up

Town Leader 1: "Well, it's soft. Much too soft to be coal." "EEEEEWWWWWW!!!!!!"

;0)

FNC gave a pretty straight report of the proposed freep at Kensington: Jim Engle said that "some renegades" were going to crash the party as Santa Claus and then implied that, under this dire threat, the council had folded its cards - and he was beaming from ear to ear when he said it.

We cheered heartily here at home and D28Man said, "All we had to do was point Doctor Raoul, fully loaded, at 'em and they folded!"

Some Santa needs to show up at the Fire Department. They advised they would be more than glad to provide a ride.

I saw that on Fox News tonight. Jim Angle - sitting in for Brit Hume - said that the fire department said that if Santa showed up at the fire station, they would deliver him to the tree lighting, just as they always have.

Please, someone dressed as Santa show up at the fire station.

BUTTTT, will Santa be allowed to light the main "holiday tree" (in front of the children) as he has done for over thirty years now? Will the Levine School of Music be performing CHRISTMAS carols (not "happy holiday" songs)??

I have no problem with the firemen and policemen lighting the tree. As for the music, if there aren't enough people there who know Christmas carols and can drown out any PC singers, I'd be surprised.

Wow, kinda a Christmas Dan's Bake Sale. Hope some people can bring portable nativity scenes.

I am Spartacus, I mean Santa Claus.
