Support Our Troops Rally in Fresno, California 11/30/01

It was a chilly 45 degrees during tonight's "Support Our Troops" Rally in Fresno, California, but our hearts were warm as we counter-protested the peaceniks on the corner of Blackstone and Shaw (as we have pledged to do each Friday for as long as the terrorist supporters show up). There were only about 15 of us tonight and there were approximately the same number of peaceniks across the street from us.

A reporter from the Fresno Weekly showed up at our rally tonight. He took some pictures and interviewed a few FReepers. A couple of people who had seen us as they drove by in the past showed up tonight and joined us. We also had a few people who were riding their bikes who stopped, picked up signs, and joined us. One man who missed his bus and had to wait for the next one to come by also picked up a sign and enthusiastically joined in.

Great job FReepers! Thanks for the ping. I love seeing the pix. Here's a report from "our sailor" who's deployed in support of Op. Enduring Freedom. The "Tech" he refers to is Georgia Tech. He's a big fan.

First, I know that Tech lost. What else is new? They really fell apart when I left. There must be some correlation. Second, about our turkey day........well, it actually went really well. We managed to get everything cooked and eaten with no trouble. Then we played some cards. It was nice to relax for once in this place. Not much else new here, so I will let you all go now.
