Dear Father,

I thank You for answering our prayers. The fact You are answering prayers so swiftly is increasing my faith and trust. My God, it is one thing to say I have faith and trust in You--and another thing for You, Father, to make me believe in You and Your Word, from Your answering our praayer
Father, heal these people and endow them with Your Great Grace.

Update on the two foster kids:

The boy (close to 3 now) is borderline Willie M. I think they are trying to get a firm diagnosis but he has a nasty habit of bashing his head into walls when he becomes upset. And he stays upset for hours at a time. This is compounded by the fact he is very big and heavy for his age. One of the older sisters exhibits the same behavior.

The girl, who is 6, is a "survivor". All she cares about is living from one experience to the next. She has no compassion, even towards her brother. She has been diagnosed as the most redeemable of the whole family. However, breaking through that wall will not be easy. The only good thing is there is an engineering school here and it is full of these types.

My gut feeling is that the boy will have to go back into the system and should be institutionalized temporarily to see if the Willie M type behavior is merely temporary. If the court demands they stay together, they will both go back into the system for another round of passing around until someone can handle the boy. The current family cannot handle him. The girl is not a problem and I wish she could stay with the current family because stability is her best bet right now.

The father is not capable of dealing with this. I'm praying for the judge at this point.

...don't know the background of this story - but just reading your "update" has brought tears to my eyes...obviously, you're someone who cares a great deal and is ready to help these children with all you have....I pray for you, Appy, that you gain the added strength to continue to help this family.

God Bless You.
