I'm surprised the JBTs didn't do it the easy way and drop a couple of baggies of pot or crack in the house.

Pre Ban AR15's are illegal in CT unless they were registered prior to 1994. The registration is NOT TRANSFERABLE, so you can't sell it in CT either.
Thus, the only legal PreBan AR15's in CT belong to people who registered them prior to 1994 and still own them. No exceptions, unless you are law enforcement. There is no provision to register newly acquired preban guns, not even for new residents, and when the original certificate possessor dies, the gun has to go to Officer Friendly, instead of the next of kin.
All in the name of Reasonable Gun Safety Legislation For The Children.

I didn't see any mention of NRA targets like the Associated Press reports are used by Al Queda.

I looked and looked and looked at every ballot that came my way, friend. Perhaps I missed your radio ads, you know, the ones in which you endorsed a candidate for whom we could vote. It would be so nice if you wouldn't chastise us only after the fact. Tell us: Hillary or W, 2004? Please enlighten us, since we made such a bad choice this past time.

Do you remember when Ray Bradbury's "Farenheit 451" was considered a nightmare that could not happen except in a weird fantasy?
The book burners are probably not far behind this raid.

Sell it to an out of state dealer, or hand it over.
You have 90 days after moving in state to decide.

Or, of course, leave it somewhere outside of the state. (sorry, I forgot preview Twice post Once!)

That applies to POST-ban rifles? Up above in the thread, someone said post-ban ARs are legal in CT. Which is it?

What is illegal about an AR15 is one with a flash supressor and/or a bayonett lug. One may go to any of a number of gun stores and purchase a brand new AR15. A pre-ban AR15 must either be registered with the state and can not be transferred except to an FFL. Of course a pre-ban AR15 which has had the barrel replaces with one not having a flash suppressor or bayonett lug is perfectly legal. Possession of a pre-ban barrel assembly with flash supressor and bayonett lug is also perfectly legal here. The change can be accomplished in under two minutes.
As to the dummy grenades they may be readily purchased quite legally here in The People's Socialist Republic of Connecticut.
The presence of banned literature guarantees a complete denial of civil rights here.

Post bans are ok. So I guess you should go to the range and practice.
Cheers!!

Four guns is considered an Arsenal? This story is absurd.

...if they are dummy grenades or active...
They could always look for the hole in the bottom.

Colt AR-15s and Colt Sporters are banned specifically. This means that for it to be legal, it has to have been owned prior to the ban and then registered. Colt AR-15s and Colt Sporters are illegal in post-ban configuration. However, clones of AR-15s (such as Olympic Arms) are legal in post-ban configuration. So, if this guy had pre-ban Colt AR-15s or Colt Sporters that were not registered, then they are illegal. If he had post-ban Colt AR-15s or Colt Sporters, then they are illegal. If he had post-ban AR-15 clones (that is, the guns are post-ban configuration and are not stamped "Colt AR-15" or "Colt Sporter"), then they would be legal.
