You should've sent her an airbrushing program and instructed her to make liberal use of it before allowing pictures of herself to be circulated.

OH PLEASE! She is just old and feeble. I feel sorry for her and wrote her this sweet note:
Dear Ms. Thomas:
It's very odd that you have been able to sit your fat ass in front of several presidents asking them inane questions for so many years. I suspect that your current employer pays you to "work" at the White House just for the comedy your stupid questions bring. Oh well, the jokes on you.
Recent events have caused many people to look at the liberal leftists "media" types like you in a different light. Hopefully, at some point in the near future hacks like yourself with their own liberal agenda will be a thing of the past. In the meantime we will watch you make a fool of yourself at White House press briefings.
To: Elle Bee
Thanks for the email address. I sent one a couple of days ago to Hearst Papers. Sent an email to witch central this morning, but the problem is that the dumb bitch still does not get it.

When you drive by her house, your car's electical system goes dead.
She looks like the witch in the Bugs Bunny cartoons.

That's really bizarre... "try living your own life"... from a reporter? Someone who's only goal in life is to butt into other people's lives? Is she saying that we shouldn't watch the press briefings? That what journalists do is none of our business?
Wow... I used to be a liberal, (well, sort of anyway) and when I first came onto FR I was puzzled at all the remarks about sneering, narrow-minded, arrogant liberals. After all, everyone I knew was aware that only conservatives were sneering, narrow-minded and arrogant. Two years on FR have given me such a new perspective. Now I look on tidbits like this and think, "how brainwashed most Americans are." Thank you FR. (Yes, I have donated money.)
To: csistrueblue
While she may read her e-mail, she certainly doesn't respond to same. I have e-mailed her on three seperate occasions and never recieved so much as a "go to hell" from her.

I sent her a "keep up the good work" email.
Encouraging the overtly wacked-out liberals is the best thing you can do. She alienates 10,000 people from liberalism every time she opens her mouth in a well-publicized press-conference. Heaven forbid she show a little restraint and maybe ask a question that does not make her look like a fool.

I actually like Helen Thomas:
Ms Thomas
There was a time of time of civility in this world when young men like me respected their elders simply for the fact that they were our elders. I have come to see that that is a foolish way to live, a view enhanced by the events of recent months, and I have a few things to say to you.
After reading your dispatches from the White House during the Clinton administration, I came to view you- not professionally, but personally- as a twisted, sick person. Your dissembling of the lies and blindly bellying up to the trough to slurp up whatever Mike McCurry or Joe Lockhart fed you did in fact ensure the events of of September 11th of this year. The truth is irrefutable and cannot be taken back: while Clinton undermined our very Constitution, Helen Thomas sat on her hands.
Ms. Thomas, I am embarrassed by you and for you, but being a liberal toady you have no concept of embarrassment. If you were capable of self reflection you'd be haunted by every word that has passed your fingers, from your shameless lapping at JFK's feet (and after all of that he never invited you to go for a swim, did he?) to your warped rants at George W. Bush.
For all your lack of embarrassment, I'm convinced you've achieved the liberal's reward: self disgust.
I know for a fact I'm sick of you.
PS. By the way, people are talking about you here....

"She's a troll with a press pass." Or, she's the press with a troll pass.
To: csistrueblue
Dear Helen,
I am one of those political junkies that follows the news around and therefore must rely on reporters, like yourself, to supply me with the information I need to formulate my opinion regarding current events.
I would just like to say that some of your recent Q&A's with the Press Secretary shows that you have lost any credible impartiality in reporting the news. During the Clinton Administration I never heard you so venomously attack the Press Secretary. What happened? Maybe it's time you think about retirement? You've got a beautiful relative in my area, Suzanne Geha, that will do a more than adequate job filling your shoes.

Here is my e-mail to her. I tried to post this earlier, but AT&T Broadband had technical problems:
Dear Miss Thomas:
It would be nice if you weren't so "snippy" in the press conferences at the White House (to use your good friend algore's expression). Your contempt for President Bush is obvious when you do that. Here is what I'm talking about:
After Fleischer told a reporter that Walker "is considered, under the Geneva Convention regarding the treatment of prisoners of war, a battlefield detainee," Thomas demanded: "My question falls in line with that. Are we so primitive that we would ship this man in a box, deny him legal rights, deny him the right to see a lawyer, deny him the right to see his parents? I mean, is that America?"
Fleischer tried to calm down the long-time UPI reporter: "Helen, under the Geneva Convention regarding treatment of prisoners of war, the military and intelligence agencies may question prisoners for information that's of military value in the conduct of war without the presence of a lawyer. That is what the Geneva Convention calls for-"
Thomas piped up: "You ship him in a box?"
Fleischer: "-and the Geneva Convention is being followed in this case."
Moran demanded: "So it trumps his constitutional right to-"
Fleischer: "No, this is done consistent with the Constitution."
Moran: "How so?"
Fleischer: "Because what you're referring to, Terry, deals with custodial interrogation-"
Moran: "Right."
Fleischer: "-and that only comes into play, that only comes in as a matter of statute when he is in the custody of law enforcement personnel. He is covered under the Geneva Convention by military personnel, which triggers a different set of statutory requirements."
Thomas, obsessed with parental access: "He can't see his parents? He's not allowed to see his parents?"
Fleischer: "Again, Helen, I think that they are moving forward with a review of the facts in this matter. But he is being treated under the Geneva Convention. He is being protected. He has been given medical care which he was not receiving under the Taliban. And he has received the protection of the United States Armed Forces in a very dangerous battlefield condition."
Thomas charged: "He's being interrogated without a lawyer. Is that fair?"
Fleischer pointed out: "He is being given all his rights, which are far more than the rights the Taliban or the al-Qaeda extended to anybody living there."
Thomas sighed: "Well, we're not comparing ourselves, are we?"

Here's my e-mail to the troll under the bridge:
Helen:
Your continually biased remarks in the tenuous form of questions to the Presidential News Secretary, Ari Fleisher, are causing you to be a continual target of ridicule by your colleagues and by your very few readers in the Hearst newspapers. I just want to say, "keep it up, Helen. You are showing all of America the true negative liberal bias of the left wing media." Bernard Goldberg has exposed you liberal presstitutes for what you are. America is coming to her senses and making reporters like you less relevant every day. Thank goodness.

Many months ago I emailed her about her obvious fawning over then POTUS BC. Her response was VERBATIM the email you received. Maybe she just thinks everyone who takes the time to email her doesn't have a life beyond contacting her. She sure doesn't seem to want President Bush to "just live his life" without her sour graping comments. She is a hypocrite gimmiecrap if ever there was one.

Normally I would agree with you, but Helen wasn't so kind when she was young. I don't respect Sen. Byrd, either! Both of them willingly gave up their own principles for the sake of their party. She is old but hardly senile (senility has always been a symptom of her liberal disease). I used to sympathize with old folks who would come into our tavern night after night alone. They would talk about how they never see their children and then I wised up and realized why they never saw their children. It's sort of sad, but you reap what you sow.

Actually Mssssss. Thomas is quite entertaining -- sort of like the WHPC version of a freak show. You know, instead of a two-headed boy, they have Helen.
Sure, she's disrespectful, but don't forget the old saying: just like the slave who was kicked by a jack@ss, consider the source.
