From what I understand, Chamblee is a center of illegal immigration. I also know that Gainesville, GA has a large Mexican population. Does Norcross? I was wondering since that woman in the state legislature hails from that town.

That was my point. If you're an illegal immigrant you're going to have a tougher time getting on a US domestic flight if you lack proper ID.

Giving illegals free driver's licenses gives terrorists an easier time in infiltrating our systems.

It doesn't matter what the poll says or what the people want. Just look at California. Several years ago the people of the great state of California held a free election and voted 3 to 1 in favor of proposition 187 which would have put a stop to much of the tax paid support of illegal aliens. After we won this historical election, the federal government stepped in and burned our ballots and declared our election unconstitutional.

Wake up people. The government don't give a damn what the people want. The federal government says your vote means nothing!

People are in this country illegally and we have no way of
knowing who they are or where they live....... they refuse
to become "legal" citizens [or "legal" immigrants for that matter]....

And a "license to drive a car" will give us the info we could use...

Will the country ever see a president with the guts and fortitude of a General Eisenhower again? After Operation Wetback, illegal immigration was halted for a decade or more, proving enforcement is a deterrent. I think when enough people rise up and say enough, something will be done, not until then. But it's going to have to happen nationwide, not just in border states.

A better idea would be to announce that all states are now officially allowing illegal immigrants to obtain special "For Driving Only" licenses, but they all have to show up on specific days. When they show up to get the licenses, take them into custody and ship em back to their country of origin...

If that is the plan, then I support the idea 100%...

You can get a legal ID at any office of drivers license's in any state and its good for airline passenger's.

Hey, tell me something... When the "illegals" aren't able to do
the work you refuse to do for the low dollar they will work for...
Who are you going to blame, when those hiring them move their
companies out of the USA?

How about when their product costs more than you can afford,
due to their higher costs of production from having to pay higher
wages to US workers? They'll fold up shop, and those now doing
the skilled labor will be out of work with them.

The problem is more complicated than what meets a red-necked eye.

If I didn't have to pay thousands of dollars a year to feed, clothe, medicate, and educate illegal immigrants, I'd gladly pay more to allow a businessman to pay someone a living wage to wash dishes at the local restaurant.

I'd be willing to wager a years pay, you don't pay more than
$50.00 per year [in taxes] for anything of that sort.

And I'd be as willing to wager, that you wouldn't continue to
frequent any businessman that's charging more for what you
buy, than your local WalMart.

This Nation needs "cheap labor". If we can't provide it, our
industry will seek it elsewhere. Pay now or pay later.
