My gripe with the A.C.L.U. is that they see the U.S. constitution as some kind of menu where they pick and choose which amendments they like, they'll support freedom of assembly but refuse to help out for firearms, or refuse to support freedom of religion but support protection against unlawfull search and seisure (and I do understand where they are coming from on that) but never the less. The constitution is not a menu, you do not pick and choose if you claim you are protecting it.

Nope, you missed the point, the emphases is on atheistic.

And when you combine atheistic with Jew, you should have a oxymoron on your hands, due to the fact that the Israel was a nation developed by God, (see the Christian Old Testament or the Jewish Torah).

Jesus was a Jew, His parents were Jews, His message was directed firstly at the Jews. The Jews gave us Christianity. Yet today's Jews mostly reject the message of Christ, and not only reject it but do every thing in their power to quell it, and that power in the US resides namely within the ACLU.

That's not to say however that there are no Christian Jews, there are, and they generally are the most educated and fervent amongst Christian believers.

It's useless to engage in dialog with someone who does not have ears to hear.

Just what I expect from the Superstitious Right..."Ignore him, maybe he'll just go away. Whatever you do don't engage him, you might be forced to think!"

There are plenty of thoughtful atheists on Free Republic. You seem to be one of the other sort - the kind that wants attention for your atheism. Perhaps that's not correct, but it certainly is how you're coming across.

No thanks - it's a fool who has said in his heart, there is no God. I don't have time for foolishness.
