I don't know what you mean by 'white-skin privilege' but slavery reparations are as racist as anything else on this thread: Payment by those who did no harm to those who suffered no harm because of a long ago harm to those who will not be compensated by those who did the actual harm. And all of this is done on the basis of race.

The first, and most important thing that MUST be done is to repeal the Amendment that gives automatic citizenship to any baby born on US soil. It give an automatic free ride to the parents, who are usually illegal. This amendment was passed following the Civil War, in an attempt at giving freed slaves a chance for citizenship. Like many, many laws, this one is outdated and irrelevant now. It needs to go.

I'm no Buchanan booster in many things, but where does this racist angle come from? I just don't see it. It's not racism that is the motivator, it is the culture war that he's on about. His running mate was a black woman, if I remember correctly.Has he really said something like "too many brown people"? That would indeed be racist.

Again, I don't know much about the Mexicans in Overland Park or California. I do know many in Mexico, however, and the general consensus was that the US had the right to get Bin Laden, but should not extend the war any further. As far as the Mexican government is concerned, lets us remember that Mexico has been a largely neutral country since the Revolution, although they did commit a small fighter squadron in WWII that wasn't too successful.

Putting Pat down as a racist is missing the point. Even Clinton said something to the effect that the majority of the US will be Hispanic or spanish-speaking sometime not too far in the future.

His comments on Chinese and Islamic expansionism, Russia's contraction, etc., are indisptutable.

BTW, I'm one of the "white" European-Americans who left California because of what it is becoming. Enforce immigration laws? Who are you trying to kid? The immigration laws are purposely not enforced.

So because people believe (incorrectly) that discussing historical facts, statistical facts and demographic facts is "racist," Buchanan and others should not even bother to make an argument against unrestricted immigration?
