Jeez, I wonder how much cooler that game could be now than when I was playing it on an Apple II+ almost 20 years ago???

Wolfenstein on an Apple II? Sure it was the same game? I never got hold of anything more fancy than an extremely barebone "Wizardry" for the Apple :).

We were discussing it on a thread earlier. Check out the system requirements and buy it. My wife bought it for me for Christmas and I've played through it twice since then, it was that much fun. It's just not for the weak-of-stomach, though. The graphics are amazing and the gameplay is varied over the single theme of "just shoot everything". I will say it's definately for "mature" PC users, though.

Some of the more impressive scenarios place you in missions based in bombed-out European cities, Alpine Mountains and they even work in some haunted catacombs. Lots of fun.
