My Aunt Lee is three months pregnant.
A while ago she went to her doctor and discovered that her heartbeat is 30 beats faster per mintue than it should be.
The docotors suspect that she has a thyroid problem, but the hitch is that they can't do anything because shes pregnant.
Many doctors would advise her to end the pregnancy, but not my Aunt's- a nice old, Jewish man who delivered 3 of my sisters. My family is very, very Catholic and has 49 grandkids.
My Aunt already has 5 kids and would consent to no such thing.

She was woozy today in RCIA and church (b/c of my grandmothers divorce Aunt Lee was never confirmed but was last year.) She is getting regular pregnancy problems but can't eat sugar to pick her up because it makes her heart race.

So I'm just asking FReepers to keep her & the baby in their prayers.

Might I suggest that she speak to her Dr. about supplemental minerals such as magnesium, along with the B vitamins, and kelp tablets to help her thyroid. It has been my understanding that the kelp will only work in a first generation hypothyroid, but if that is what she is it is probably worth a try. I hope her physician is knowledgable in these areas, most M.D.'s have little or no nutritional training.

I'll continue to pray for her and the baby.

Prayers and a fervent wish that your aunt visits a doctor who practices holistic medicine. She won't have to give up her present doctor but should get some advice on her problem.

Guard her from all illness and debilitation; cause her healing to be so miraculous that all of her caregivers marvel at Your complete provision for this beloved woman and her precious child. Set Your angels around her constantly to be a help and encouragement. Let this child draw whatever nourishment he or she needs, and bless the child with physical and mental strength.
