Good. I say it's time to chuck the public K-12 school system-leviathan altogether. If there's a conflict between church and state, fine, keep the church and kick the state to the curb.
I vote for vouchers + private schools of any educational philosophy that can find a market.

Here's a jest: the whole separation of church and state deal was born of Jefferson's letter to the Danbury Baptists.
Following that royally dubious principle, let's find the most inane letter Jefferson ever wrote, pick a random phrase from it, and declare said phrase to be the law of the land!!!

And my point is that Skousen's stretch is incorrect ... because there is no correlation -- none whatsoever -- between God and any "religion" on earth.
Religious organizations have demonstrated, time and time again, that their objective is control over individuals.
