Widow of Flight 93 hero Todd Beamer gives birth to healthy baby girl; named Morgan Kay
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - Lisa Beamer, the widow of one of the hero passengers who vowed to fight back before their hijacked plane crashed in Pennsylvania on Sept. 11, has given birth to a healthy baby girl.
Morgan Kay Beamer was born Wednesday afternoon at a New Jersey hospital, Diane Morrow, a spokeswoman for the Todd M. Beamer Foundation, said Thursday. Morgan was Todd Beamer's middle name.
The baby weighed 7 pounds and was 21 inches tall. The couple also has two sons, Drew and David.
Todd Beamer, 32, was one of several passengers aboard United Flight 93 who made phone calls to relatives or authorities, alerting them that a hijacking was taking place and making plans to fight back.
Beamer ended his conversation with a GTE operator by dropping his phone and saying, "Let's roll." A short time later, the plane crashed into a field in Shanksville, Pa., killing all 44 on board.
It was the only hijacked plane that day that didn't take lives on the ground. Authorities have said it was headed toward Washington, D.C.
Flight 93 was scheduled to fly from Newark to San Francisco.
The foundation's Web site asks that in lieu of baby gifts, those wanting to can make a donation to either the foundation or to a children's charity in the baby's honor.

Morgan Kay. Its a tribute to the Legends of the Round Table in a kind way isn't it? Her father is remembered for the ages. Here's lookin' at ya kid and when you grow up remember what your Daddy who's watching over you down from Heaven said : LET'S ROLL! The daughter of a hero. May God Let His Countenance Shine Upon You And Grant You Peace.

It is wonderful to know Todd's baby has been born, and has his middle name. Prayers to the family. What a hero the husband and dad was. His spirit of American will is very much alive today. As Rumsfield said, They (the terrorists) did a terrible, terrible thing, and are vowing to do it again. We must not let them.

Yes, I hope Mrs. Beamer is SURROUNDED by family and friends giving her all the help and support she will need.
As sad as all of this is, Morgan Kay will be an extra special source of joy and comfort to her grieving mother. Babies are a gift from God--especially in this situation!

And after two boys, how that little girl's father would have worshipped her!
As, when the time is right, her step-father will.
Life goes on ...........

What a blessing. Lisa, I'm so happy for you that you have this little miracle to help to fill the empty spot in your heart. May she be a joy to you.
To: jern
Praise God for the blessing of Morgan Kay.

As a father of a 16 month old boy with a daughter on the way, I often think of those boys and often pray for them. I'll do the same for the baby girl.
To: jern
Great news. We need more of Beamer's kind in this country. God bless the little girl.
