"If he doesn't jump, he's in trouble cause he's just burned a bunch of bridges behind him."

Yep...there's no such thing as a Moderate DemonRAT because all Federally-elected RATS have to vote fer the Leftist Socialist PIG, Dickie Gephardt, or the Leftist PUNK, Tommy D'assHole!! No "Moderate" could possibly stomach voting for either, IMHO.

"I could vote for Zell......hummmmm, I wonder in what capacity? VP if Cheney doesn't run, and then P in 2008???"

Let's not get carried away, my FRiend...if Cheney doesn't run as Veep in '04--highly likely, IMHO--the next Veep will be the GOP front-runner in 2008. We need a rock-ribbed Conservative to build up from the gains I expect the GOP to make over the next seven years, and Ol' ZigZag's not to be trusted in that regard.

"Please explain how this is true. It is NOW that we can take the majority gavel from Daschle if Zell switched parties NOW. Why wait????"

Even if Zell switched his vote for Majority Leader today, the Senate RATS would still have the Power of the Filibuster to keep any significant Rightward-leaning legislation from being passed between now and November. However, with Puff Daschle as the PosterBoy for the RATS' Obstructionist Senate, every GOP Senate candidate gets to run against Daschle (and with Dubyuh)!! That's HUGE, IMHO, and will lead to a Major RATstompin' by the GOPers this November!!

Every Hero needs a Nemesis, and Jeffords' Defection provided Dubyuh an extremely-LOATHEable Arch-Enemy in ArchDemonRAT, Puff Daschle...let's take advbantage of our Good Fortune!!

This man is too honest to stay a Democrat forever

Mr. Miller is explicit in his criticism of Tom Daschle, which is interesting and highly unusual.

Zell Miller is nowhere near as naive a senator as he puts himself up to be. The Majority Leader is much too powerful for any reasonable senator to go off insulting him at will.

Of course, Daschle and company are making a true botch of things -- their spin isn't working, and they're showing themselves to be rancid little politics-first obstructionists.

I'm betting that Miller senses this, and is positioning himself for a post-Daschle leadership position.

I predict that if he were to switch , he would not get the adoration of the press as did the courageous Jeffords.

He won't switch midterm, if he did he would be a back stabbing sumbitch like Jeffords and Zell Miller ain't Jim Jeffords.
