They believe that U.S. policy, not the kingdom's religion-based society, is to blame for fostering extremism that led to the Sept. 11 attacks.

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia -- Sheik Mohammed bin Jubeir sat comfortably on a silk-covered couch in his gold-trimmed robe and reflected on the pain Saudi Arabia has endured. Victim is the word he used. The oil-rich desert kingdom is a victim.

"I would like to assure you," Bin Jubeir said, "Saudi Arabia has been a victim. No society in the world is a perfect society. There must be negatives in each society."

How the Pirate Robber Gang of Saud Established Their Kingdom With British Help

Admittedly, this article was written by a rival gangster who was cut out of his share of the loot.

They don't even allow their citizens to vote. That doesn't sound 'conservative' to me.

That would not be Conservative in Switzerland, which has a long tradition of popular, grass-roots involvement. That is certainly not the tradition in the Near East.

It's also 'traditional' to forcefully remove the clitoris of young girls without anesthetic. I suppose you think that makes it a 'conservative' thing to do.

Do you have one shred of evidence that that is a Saudi practice? I think that you are confusing countries.

What I cannot understand is the hostility towards a friendly Government. The conservative thing for Americans has always been to treat those with respect, who treat us with respect--and never, ever meddle in their internal affairs.

The House of Saud is not a 'friendly' government.

They bought and paid for the Taliban, and 18 of the 19 9-11 hijackers were Saudi.

They are our enemy.

The best thing we could do is to eliminate the House of Saud by any necessary means and let Standard Oil run what's left.
