Daily Prayer Thread 1/21/02

Romans 8
31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Heavenly Father, Our Dearest Brother Jesus, thank You so very much for the finished work on the Cross. Thank You for all the many blessings we are showered with each and every day. Thank You for our families and friends, and the many complete and total promises You have given us through Your word.

Indeed, "If God be for us, who can be against us?" We have the priceless gift of salvation from Jesus, and the constant intercession of the Holy Spirit before Your face, Almighty God. Nothing and no one can stand against us ever. The entire work is finished, and what we await now is for the remainder of our brothers and sisters to believe and be counted with the saved. Hasten their acceptance and deliverance, Dearest Father...and come quckly, Lord Jesus!

Through You, Jesus, and in Your name I ask these things that all who are to be called will be called and embraced...Amen!

Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? And Jesus said unto them, "Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting." (Matt 17:19-21)

Thank You, Jesus, for these powerful messages about faith today, especially the beautiful verses You have given to billbears.

The mustard seed "knows" nothing but that it will grow if conditions are right. It does not worry, it only waits for the correct moment to burst forth and send down roots. And this is how we should practice our faith in You, Dearest Lord and Brother...knowing nothing except that at the precise moment it is needed, our prayers will be answered and You will defend and nurture us.

Forgive our misconceptions of faith, Father, and reveal to each of us what You desire we know of the power of faith and trust in You. Help those of us who can to fast and pray, and thus learn how to rely upon You utterly for all that we need...including deliverance from the body's requirements for physical nourishment. Focus our attentions on You and Your will in our lives. Strengthen us as prayer warriors and in all ways bring us in alignment with You. Grant us special insight and wisdom to resist satan and his minions as we do battle for those in need. Surround us, our families and loved ones with Your strong angels for protection, and forbid that satan be allowed to harm any of these precious souls. Thank You Father, thank You Jesus! Through our Precious Brother Jesus, I ask these things in His name...Amen!
