He rejected calls from the victim's parents for a life sentence, arguing that the pair showed diminished responsibility.These two (the Rudas) made earlier statements comparing their prosecution to prosecuting a car for a fatal accident, the analogy being that they were merely a vehicle for Satan.
So what we have is a complete denial of responsibily; no remorse here.

...but "deeply disturbed characters," he told the jury...And the conclusion drawn from that premise is that they should be seperated from society after carrying out a premeditated homicide for less than 15 years. Amazing. The nation which produced Immanual Kant has apparrently not made logic a pre requisite for practicing criminal law in Deutschland.
