This kind of nonsense will continue as long as the educators are allowed to get away with it. Perhaps, a little ol' fashioned flogging would help?

We just had a group come in to promote " unity day" and "breaking the walls" The company is called "Learning for Living". The owner's name is Phil Boyte, the instructor is Stu Cabe.

Does anyone have any info about this company or their curriculum? When I called teh company, the person answering the phone told me she could not tell me what "unity day" was. She said I had to ask the owner, who just happened to be out of town.

I can remember the thoughts I had when I was a kid and the school was indoctrinating us to not say words such as crippled, blind, or deaf. They kept saying that "after all they are no different than you and want to be treated just like everyone else". I couldn't understand that concept. They were different, No matter what word they were trying to have me use such as visually impaired, physically handicapped etc. it didn't change the fact that they were still crippled or blind etc. If I had really treated them the same as the rest of the kids especially on the playground, I would have ended up in the PRincipal's office. After all, can you imagine playing crack the whip with a cripple or a blind person and not treat them differently?

I can't imagine what would have gone through my head, if someone would have told me to treat gay people the same. The girls were still holding hands, and the boys were still patting each other on the seats. Had we been introduced to the sexual element, (something that was still a foreign thought because prime time TV was still G rated) we would have though we were all gay or would have started wondering in someone we knew was gay. It would have had a chilling effect on our normal childhood behavior and started a whole host of subjects to be discussed. Deep down inside we still would have felt that they were abnormal, just as we couldn't be convinced that the cripple or blind person wasn't different from us.

This is yet another example of how liberal excuse making for homosexuality and supposedly sub-sex classes of society switches immediately into facist Nazi imposition hateful mode once they are in control of the political entities they were after.

This is communism in action.

Is this another example of not caring what homosexuals do in the privacy of their own bedrooms?

According to Fringe Benefit's online newsletter, the theater company began bringing its show to "public, private and Catholic [schools] from South Orange County to the Bay Area" in the fall of 1999.i

"Cootie Shots," according to its authors, seeks to "address acceptance and tolerance of gays and lesbians in an age-appropriate manner"

And there, pardon the expression, is the nub of the matter.

Of course, kids should be tolerant, after all they're out in the public square.

Acceptance is quite another matter and this is what the gays are really looking for.

(Gay) School Days

"What would schools look like if they were run by homosexual activists? In California, parents are learning the answer.

PARENTAL ADVISORY: Portions of this article may be inappropriate for young readers.

"...All the second- through fifth-graders at Pleasant Valley School had been called to an assembly, where they learned slogans like "I'm gay and it's OK," reinforced by various skits-like one in which Rapunzel cut her hair and ran away with her girlfriend. The show made an impact. "Daddy, am I a lesbian?" one third-grade girl asked. "I like girls better than boys." The group behind the assembly bore an innocent-sounding name, Cootie Shots. But it turned out to be an offshoot of Fringe Benefits, a theater group that gets public funds for "tolerance of diversity" performances in high schools and middle schools throughout the Los Angeles Unified School District. Now the group is targeting much younger kids, because-in the words of a longtime Fringe Benefits booster, Steven Hicks of the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) of Los Angeles-"It is imperative to begin addressing these issues in the elementary schools as early as possible."..."

Oh lovely - California says that children must be taught about homosexuality - but as an adult I can not walk into a bar and have cigarette with my beer.

Someone please tell me how that makes sense????

Here's a couple of things I noticed and either agreed with or took exception to:

"I'm afraid," he writes, "this children's theater for 'us' is bringing all of my shame and rancid homophobia up to the surface like so many dead bodies. But it feels like we're recruiting.
If it looks like a duck, feels like a duck, smells like a dusk, quacks like a duck, chances are - It's a DUCK!

Public schools need to teach reading, writing, math, and science, not spend valuable time and resources promoting homosexuality," concluded Mountjoy.
BUMP

Acknowledge lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender historical figures, events, concepts, and issues in the revisions of content standards and curriculum frameworks, when appropriate. Identify and expand the available lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender resources for school library materials."

If they can find any LES, GAY, BI, TRANS figures, events, concepts, or issues that are of MAJOR, NATIONAL OR INTERNATIONAL interest, they should let me know.
And as for resources for school libraries - Oh, by all means, let's put some porn in our school libraries. The kids would only read it for the articles. Right?
