"Giant is sponsoring several programs for Black History Month, including having jazz bands and soul food samples at its Kline Village Plaza and Union Deposit stores, Mr Hopkins said."ROFLMAO.........................I love it; I just love it. Sometimes........most times............when people are bending over backward to be "politically correct", they merely succeed in making total horses asses of themselves. This "solution" to their so-called marketing gaffe just made me howl!!!!
"Why, um.......yes, we made an egregious error, so in an earnest attempt to rectify this horrific mistake, we're offering rap music, a sale on out-of-season watermelons, and free chitlins-tastings for our African American customers........um.......well, for ALL of our customers, but we expect that this will really only attract bla.........um........well........er........you know................."

"...I have had bar-b-q coon & it was pretty darn good..." Well, I wasn't mocking him here. And I've had some fairly exotic dishes in my life, from bear to dog, moose to snake.
But I had it in mind (and still do, to be honest) that raccoons are as prone to carry rabies as skunks are.
I'd likely take a bite if I were genuinely reassured that this wasn't a problem.

A BLACK guy I worked with quit and bought 6 Lousiana Fried Chicken stores in LA. I aske dif he would put one near my home. He said are you crazy, we sell three times the chicken in black neighborhoods, why would I open in a white suburb?
Tragic, isn't it, when the truth can't be stated because of racial "sensitivities"?

We have a rendezvous with destiny. The keepers of the kill-switch must be busy elsewhere. Considering that we're all supposed to be Republicans, I guess everyone slipped off to a party in their Rolls-Royce with 2,000 of their closest friends, sipping Dom Perignon and eating filet mignon, Grey Poupon mustard and Beluga caviar.
I'd rather have the fried chicken.

If they have a sale on matzoh on Passover, I promise not to be offended.
If they ever have a sale on matzoh at Passover, I promise I'll try not to fall down dead from the shock....

in the first place, I'm a vegetarian and, in the second place, its production is very cruel
So you're not much of a savage beast, after all? So much for stereotypes! :)
(By the way, I don't eat meat either...)

I'm sorry Billorights if I offended you. I was only making fun of the store manager.

Strange how the ones who treat everyone else in the rudest manner possible, have such sensitive and thin skins themselves.
The same marked probably has specials on corn beef and cabbage in honor of St. Patricks day and would offer pasta specials for Italians, Gulash for the Polish, Chili and Tacos for Mexicans, etc., if other ethnics groups had a month of their own, and all would benefit from the sale and not consider it an ethnic slur.
People who spend every waking moment looking for insults in every contact with other humans, will see every thing as a slur of some kind. The governments catering to such peoples paranoia in the form of politically correct, turns it into an epidermic that serves the paranoid well, at the expense of everyone else.

That was supposed to read same Market. Thought I proof read it thoroughly-sorry.

You have a screen name like Savage Beast and you're a vegetarian? What's up with that?

(Royal is black) Royal is also very cool. I can pick up Boortz's show at night when it's rebroadcast on WBT.

Lot a black folks up near my grandfather's place in Central Mississippi that love coon. Paw-paw, he don't touch the stuff himself, but it sells pretty durn good. A couple fellows up there have a running business with him. Course, white folks eat coon too, and it showed up once at a church potluck. Looked like they'd scooped the mess up from a road-kill! But then, I don't eat chittlins or any other "cultural pig part foods"...
