[history]
High in the skies over Oregon last May, two top insurance executives, overheard by a flight attendant, conspired in hushed tones aboard their company plane.
The CEO and his associate were carrying with them a seven-year-old child named John, clear across the country from the East Coast to a leading leukemia center. The executives avoidance of publicity reminds me of the story of President Reagan when a class of blind kids attended a speech of his. After the speech, Reagan was approached by the director asking if the kids could "see" him with their hands. Reagan did this without any media fanfare or involvement. If it had been Klintoon, he'd had the media tell us how great he was.

Great, now I have to explain to the 13 y.o. daughter why her macho dad is weeping.
The guys that do this deserve a special place in heaven.

Local Atlanta radio talk show host Neal Boortz is a private pilot that is a member of the Angel Network of pilots. He doesn't mention it very often, but when he does it is to say what an honor it is to serve these deserving patients.
