James Woods: the 911 Terrorist Were on my Plane
O'Reilly Factor | February 14, 2002 | James Woods

Posted on 02/14/2002 5:14:08 PM PST by aculeus

On the O'Reilly Factor tonight actor James Woods revealed details of his August experience on board a westbound transcontinental flight -- including his conclusion that the men he saw were the actual terrorists involved in the 9/11 massacres.

Contrary to previous reports he did not report his experience to the FBI prior to 9/11.. He did, however, express his concerns about the four Middle Easterners to the pilot during the flight. He has since learned that the pilot then notified the FAA. Basically, he told the pilot that the men were acting like hijackers.

On 9/11 Woods called the FBI. The next day he was awakened early in the morning by a call from an FBI agent who asked to meet him. Woods offered to come to the FBI office and was told "No problem. We're in a car outside your house."

Woods made it clear in his interview -- and this greatly impressed O'Reilly -- that based on things the FBI said and his examination of published photographs, the men on his flight were all 9/11 'martyrs'. For one thing when he asked the agent if they had compared the manifest of his flight with the ID's of the terrorists the agent said they had received tens of thousands of calls since 9/11 but they were spending four hours with him ... in other words, "Draw your own conclusions, Mr. Woods".

He also said that the idea that none of the terrorists knew about each other was wrong since the men he saw died on different 911 flights.

He avoided answering some of O'Reilly's questions indicating he expected to be called as a witness in the Moussarri (?) trial.

Woods deserves a great deal of credit for his 'heads up' behavior and for his cooperation with the FBI.

Woods also indicated that Moussaoui was not one of the men who travelled with him.

I saw the interview and thought it was great. I also thought it was nice that, given the shots O'Reilly has taken, that J. Woods gave him this as an EXCLUSIVE interview. Good going!

He is a smart man. He must feel just awful, it gives me the chills to think that he knew what they were and the FAA didn't do anything. The pilot reported it but nothing happened. He may be one of the only people prior to 911 who actually saw these guys and knew what he was seeing. I am impressed with him.

I, too, saw the O'Reilly interview with James Woods, and you captured it perfectly here. I repeat your words again, as I found this the most chilling part of the tale:

He also said that the idea that none of the terrorists knew about each other was wrong since the men he saw died on different 911 flights.

In other words, these guys all knew each other, they were not separate "cells" each blindly doing their own thing. One man James Woods recognized died on one flight and another died on another flight--none of which flights was the Boston-LA flight James Woods was on.

There are more of these guys out there, that's what I was trying to say.

Twin Tower Terrorists May Have Made Dry Run

Did terrorist hijackers who slammed two Boeing 767s into New York's Twin Towers on Tuesday stage a dress rehearsal a week before the attack?

That's the intriguing question raised by the account of actor James Woods, who is reportedly telling friends that he saw a suspicious group of Middle Eastern men behaving in a "clandestine" manner during the earlier flight from Boston to Los Angeles.

Exactly a week before the devastating attacks, Woods boarded a plane at Boston's Logan Airport, the same departure point the terrorists used.

Woods sat in first class, according to friends, two of whom repeated his account to the New York Post's Cindy Adams. He was alone except for four other passengers - all Middle Eastern males.

The actor immediately noticed the men behaving "bizarrely." They neither drank, nor ate a morsel nor spoke out loud for the entire flight. There was no reading, no slouching, no nodding off.

"They were clandestine. Spoke only to each other in audible tones. And stared straight ahead," Adams was told.

"They were clearly very uptight," Woods' friends quoted him as saying.

The actor was sufficiently troubled by their behavior to report it to a flight attendant - but she shrugged the incident off. When Woods landed he informed authorities on the ground, who reportedly "seemed unwilling to become involved."

The day after the attacks on New York and Washington, Woods called the FBI. At 7 a.m. Thursday investigators summoned the actor for an immediate interview.

How about posting the links to the other threads, or at a minimum ping the other people who posted so that they can.

In the interest of disciplining ourselves, I suggest that any thread that is a duplicate, stop with the posting of a link to the first posting.

Cheers:^)

The only way to stop a terrorist: CUT HIS HEAD OFF.

Mouting said head on the fence surrounding the White House could go a long way towards discouraging other terrorists. Probably wouldn't stop all of them, but many would decide to find less risky ways to meet those 72 virgins.

This is an excellent point, WillaJohns, the mainstream press stories are not getting the facts. Good summary report aculeus. I had not heard this bit of fact from the actor James Woods in the mass media, and I didn't caatch the O'Reilly Factor.

Just looked up a bio on him, and according to the site I found he did go to MIT, but on a political science (and I hesitate to call that a science) scholarship. Had one IQ test that showed him at 180, and a near-perfect SAT. Originally he wanted to be an eye surgeon but an accident injuring his hand cut that plan short. He started doing drama at MIT.

Didn't know that he was a conservative. Always enjoyed his movies. My favorite is the one where he played opposite Robert Downey, Jr. as a drug-smoking, hippy, liberal lawyer investigating a 10-year Chinatown murder. Downey played a fresh-from-Harvard attorney that interned with Woods. Interesting to note Woods IQ level. And he became an actor in Hollyweirdville!!!!

Rarely would I ever recommend anyone EVER watching ANY TV program; however, in this case, if you can catch the rerun or tape it, do it! O'Reilly, as usual, interrupted several times, completely unnecessarily I'm sure I don't have to add, but it is one of the most compelling pieces of TV I've seen in some time (as was the Greta Van Sustren interview with Dick Morris).

Hubby has the TV on ALL the time and sometimes I actually pay attention.

I did the search but I also spent more than 15 composing the post.

I know this is off topic ... but I have asked for a couple of years ... what specific difference does it make that an article is posted more than once? How much extra bandwidth does it involve?

In two years, no one has specifically explained to me why posting an article twice is so bad.

And for those of us who log on to see what is being currently discussed ... it is a blessing .. because we would never have seen the article otherwise.

"But these other guys want to negotiate and placate and appease and do all that and there’s only one thing you get from eating a bowl of sh-t, and that’s a bigger bowl of it the second time around."

Bingo. My motto (one of 'em, anyway:)) has always been that' "if you're willing take sh*t, there's one thing that's guaranteed: you're gonna take sh*t."

What I've always found discouraging is that most people seem to think I'm unreasonable in taking that position.

We saw the interview, your summary was great! Woods also said that there were other people in lst Class, he called the stewardess over and asked her if he could talk to the captain. He told the captain that he knew that you didn't say "hijack" on an airplane to the captain, but he was fairly sure that the men sitting behind him were planning to hijack the plane.

The pilot and stewardess reported the incident to the FAA, and he heard nothing further until September 11, when the memory of his August 1 flight occurred to him, and he called the FBI thinking they would brush him off...Apparently the FBI checked the manifest on Woods' flight and compared it to the manifests of the September 11 flights, and that resulted in Woods' extensive interview.

I am VERY impressed with Woods. And good for O'Reilly.
