As Central/East European politicians and bureaucrats go - Milo ain't half bad.

Not to mention that much of what he's said so far can be seen in the other-than-mainstream reports and here in FR from the time it was taking place.

Even this report admits that OBL was running around in Albania/Kosovo before "we" decided to bomb the guy who we'd been working closest with just prior.

Hope that monday they get into the bad-faith lynching at Ramboulet...

(tee-hee, I'm loving this!)

State run Serbian news releases were the ONLY semi-reliable reports during the bombing campaign.

I'm sure state-run Serbian news was just as reliable as other state-run news organizations in totalitarian states, such as the USSR, China, Iraq, Burma, etc.

I used to listen to Radio Moscow on shortwave in the mid-80s, and it's hilarious how much it is really self-serving propaganda with almost no truth content.

I don't think Ron Brown ever decided to rat out anybody, but he was a risk.

One of those nasty three shots to the back suicides, no doubt.

That's not suicide, that's arkancide, remember?

The U.S. State Department formally listed the KLA as a terrorist group in the Congressional Record of 1997/98. The KLA was caught by the CIA importing Iranian Mujahedeen who were trained in Afghanistan.

Frankly, that's a pretty strong clue that Clinton/Albright deliberately sided with Osama Bin Laden against the Serbs in 1999.

Not that our Left-Wing, mafiosa press would ever allow those connections to be covered on the front page...

I don't mean to burst your bubble or interupt your hero worship but Slobo, the Bulkan's Butcher. is hardly an admirable leader. What he did in the Balkens makes Osama look like a mere street criminal. Frankly the sooner we get rid of the Osamas Bin Ladens and the Milosovecs the better.

You are right in the Milosevic isn't as bad as others, but I really am not into political "show trials." They do have a place, but I find it hard to believe that world opinion is such that Milosevic has to be put on trial and the president of Zimbabwa is allowed to continue his reign of terror and that our good budy Sadam in Iraq is still allowed to live.

International law means nothing.

During his afternoon speech, Milosevic compared Clinton's strategy in fighting the Kosovo war to that of Adolf Hitler's: to establish a strategic base from which to attack Russia. He described the policy the Austro-Hungarian empire had adopted toward the territories of the crumbling Ottoman empire in the 19th and 20th centuries, that of keeping Serbia weak and the Balkans divided, he said.

Among the most important lines of the article here. Clinton has supported all of Hitler's allies: the Slovenes, the Croats, Bosnian Muslims and Albanians in their final solution schemes for Serbs. Criminal corporations are allowed to buy up Yugoslav industries and businesses for a fraction of their value. The US military has built one of its biggest bases in the world at Camp Landsteal in southeastern Kosovo. In place of independent states what you have in the entire Balkans are countries which are completely dependent on NATO and the IMF for their survival. Now eastward expansion of NATO can continue without any interference in preparation for a military conflict with Russia and Belarus.

"The U.S. State Department formally listed the KLA as a terrorist group in the Congressional Record of 1997/98. The KLA was caught by the CIA importing Iranian Mujahedeen who were trained in Afghanistan."

And why the hell do the freakin' media always refer to Albanian terrorists as "terrorists" (in quot. marks), as if only Serbia regards them as terrorists?

Every single act they committed is a 100% terrorist one. They murdered whomever they wanted, they attacked police patrols, army border guards, blew up churches, busses, private homes and shops; they smuggle(d) heroin, arms and ammo - on donkeys, at 3 a.m. across the Yugoslav border. Our guards had caught 1000s of them from 1995 - 1999. Tonnes and tonnes of weapons smuggled this way had been confiscated. And they're "terrorists" but not terrorists?

Megatonnes of evidence exist. No one cares. These same Albanians are Osama's allies. Osama finances their terrorism - directly!

Until Dubya gives Serbia the green light to deal with the scum, I ain't taking his "war on terrorism" seriously.

I'm not a fan of Milosevic but I think he is telling the truth about this: The poor Albanians were/are tight with terrorists and many were terrorists themselves. I always felt we were helping the wrong people over there.

International law means nothing.

If that's the way you feel, then you're right next to Clinton, who never had any respect for international law during his entire administration - while signing the Kyoto Protocol and approving the International Criminal Court.

I don't understand your interpretation of what's happening in Zimbabwe as essentially different from what happened in the past 10 years in the Balkans. Croat and Bosnian Muslim troops from the beginning targetted unarmed Serb farmers for extermination. Unlike the Zimbabwe whites however, the vast majority of Serbs had been farming that land long before the United States was ever formed as a country.

While it is true that Clinton has no morals, I am not sure I want to believe the likes of Milosevic. (please excuse my spelling)

You don't have to, as you put it, "believe the likes of Milosevic".

The historical record speaks for itself. Clinton, the US military, and the CIA supported Muslim terrorists in Bosnia and Kosovo in ways that went well beyond what even Osama Bin Laden is accused of.
