State Sen. Bruce McPherson's strategy seems simple enough: Win the Republican primary for lieutenant governor, team up with gubernatorial candidate Richard Riordan, then convince California voters that their moderate tandem is just the ticket.

Aside from a Riordan victory, all that stands in McPherson's way is a singer-songwriter turned political neophyte.

Riordan is a loser, and it sounds as if this guy is a loser, too.

Californians can send a real message by smashing this McPherson wuss and teaming Michaels up with Simon so that California will have a future.

For conservatives, Michaels offers an anti-abortion, pro-gun and anti-gay-rights alternative to McPherson, a fiscal conservative who favors strict gun control and gay and abortion rights. But at the recent state Republican convention in San Jose, where conservatives dominated, Michaels garnered only 214 votes in a straw poll. McPherson got 647 votes. Nonetheless, McPherson, who has the backing of Senate Minority Leader Jim Brulte and numerous party notables, said he wasn't taking a primary win for granted.

It is extremely sad to witness how far gone and liberal the California State Republican Party has been since the Bush-Parsky-Riorden engineered liberal takeover of the state party in 2001. How the hell could a liberal pro-gay, pro-partial birth abortion scumbag like McPherson win a straw poll at the same "conservative dominated" conference where proto-socialist Dick Riorden came in 3rd??!! California is now in the process of being flushed down the liberal multiculturalist toilet and may well be destined to be re-annexed to Mexico by future Governor Cruz Bustamante sometime after 2006. I mourn the loss of my home state, but I still visit the Democratic People's Republic from time to time as my parents still reside there.

think Bruce McPherson won the straw poll because the delegates didn't know much about his real record and in California the Lt. Governor is a toothless office. And there's no joint ticket for the gubernatorial nominee to run on so ticket splitting between the two offices has been in vogue since the 70s. Care to guess who Pete Wilson's Lt. Governor was? That's right our current governor that's who! If we get Dickie Pooh and we get a conservative Lt. gubernatorial candidate, the only reason to vote in November would be to kick the Rat Cruz Bustamante out and give Gray Davis a conservative GOP understudy. Sweet huh? Bwahahaha!!!

Maybe the libs have a better strategy...join the Republican party to hijack it. Maybe we should get a bunch of conservatives to switch to the Demoncrap ticket so that we can move them to a conservative stance.
